Which machine do you think is consistently overpriced?

There are many, I'm sure, but I'm going to go with Scared Stiff.

There's a lot I like about the machine and I would very much like to have one, but these $3k-and-up prices I always see just seem excessive.

I don't own any tables that would be valued anywhere near $3k, but just about every one I have is as good a game, or better, than Scared Stiff.

Both machines mentioned above are by far over bloated. TAF is probably the most important example of being over bloated. Way higher production numbers than the other two and is vastly gaining value .... bah. Don;t get me wrong, I will have a TAF but I'll be waiting for the right deal to come along and not pay $3500-$4000 for one.
I personally don;t think any pin should be over $4000 no matter how rare or popular it is. IPDB is what drives these damn numbers up so high.

Yeah, the Addams Family has always confused me. Sure, it's a great game and all, but they made a bazillion of them. As niche as pinball seems to be these days, it's kinda weird that you can't get one without going broke. Seems like there'd be more than enough to go around, and at decent prices.

ill add .......KISS

they made an assload of them, and yet everybody wants 3-4000 for them i just dont get that?

ill pay 4000 for a gnr before ill consider a kiss(havent bought gnr yet:) )

Well, those prices aren't going down anytime soon. I work in a retail shop, and in the past two weeks, we've had 4 requests for Addams Family and 3 requests for KISS. If we could get them, we'd make a lot of money off of them...

I'm not sure if you are comparing scared stiff to freddy, but if you are freddy sucks ass compared to scared stiff. I own both.

No doubt. I am fixing/shopping Freddy right now. It is one of the worst DMD era pins I have ever played. The art and sound package is just horrible. The ruleset is about as bad.

Scared Stiff on the other hand has one of the best art/sound packages around. The rules are simple, but straight forward - ideal to make killer money in its day.

With the exception of a few games, DMD pins fall into a general price distribution based on quality - regardless of production numbers.

I don't think Freddy's better than Stiff, but it's still a game that I really like a lot (art, sound & gameplay). *shrugs*

The problem here is the theme. Most people want one because they follow the band, it's just a typical bally single ball machine. I have had several people ask me to sell mine and none of them were pinheads.
