Which linked sit-down drivers do your kids like best?

I'm thinking of getting a twin sit-down driver that my kids can play together. I know Rush 2049 is good but seems expensive. Anyone have experience with linked Outrun 2's or Cruis'n Exoticas?

I have a pair of Cruis'n Worlds that are very kid friendly. My 5 year old loves them and enjoys beating my buddies when they come over.

Having both Rush The Rock Alcatraz and Cruisin' Exotica... I'd recommend the Rush the Rock...

We have Outrunners in our arcade. I don't think a single person has made it to the finish line yet which has created quite the competition amongst the players. Have been considering the Rush series of sitdowns though but haven't played them enough to have much of an opinion yet. They do look fun though!

depending on the age of the kids, if they are pretty young, then you need hydro thunder. Little kids cant reach the pedals. I saw some 6-7 year old kids at a round table pizza trying to play crusin world. One kid drove and the other worked the pedals.

Vapor trx would also work. Flight yoke controls. I would think a few others would work.

Rush 2049 is not that much more expensive than other drivers. You should be able to get them for less than $1k a seat.

My2 cents

We have 2 linked pairs currently; Arctic Thunder and Hydro Thunder. Her 5 year old loves having his friends over to play both. We did have San Francisco Rush before but the issue we ran into there was the pedals and the munchkins trying to reach them. If I had to choose one I'd say go with Arctic Thunder...

This is true. My son still has a hard time reaching the pedals on my Rush the Rock (he's almost 6) but he was playing Hydro Thunder like a champ at age 4.

i have 2 konami racing jam games linked together...force feedback steering and very realistic, also has the emergency brake lever you can pull up on to do some drifting around corners

I have two linked Rush 2049s, but my eight year old daughter's too short to reach the pedals. The wife and I, on the other hand, love them :D

Daytona USA

Kids love it, twin units are really cheap right now, it has built in handicapping so you can't pummel your opponent and you can set it on GT or endurance mode for really long play time for kids. Plus it has the #1 most brain washing theme song in history!!

Daaayyyyttttooonnnaaaaaaaa! Lets go away!

Another vote for the Crusin series here, I converted a pair of them to Fast N Furious' my six year old son played them and then asked for them to be converted back to Crusin Worlds.

Even if I had the space and cash on hand for a driving game (let alone TWO to link in) I can't imagine having to move them. It's getting harder and harder to move my stand-ups the older I get.

My Rush the Rock has wheels on the bottom, probably the easiest cab I have to move (before I put casters on most of the rest that is!).

Now mine are in the garage. I can see if you had to get these in a basement or something. Not fun.

Lots of great suggestions. I don't think I'll have any issues with the kids reaching the pedals and although they LOVE the Mario Kart sitdown it is still too new. I'll probably be looking for a pair from the Rush series or Daytona.
