1,2,3,4 or 5?

Please excuse my piss poor paint skills. #5 is supposed to represent the "yellowed" off white ball I currently have.

White or off-white will look best. The other colors are too distracting for the panel IMO.

White or off-white if that is the original colour. No 1 if white/off-white isn't an option (that colour is the only colour that matches the colour scheme of the CP, in my opinion, but it does make it look a bit too red overall).

You know you want to stick an 8 Ball in there...

Seriously though... Isn't that trackball the same size as pool balls and you can stick any custom pool ball in there?

Heres what it looks like with the original ball installed. I agree, its either this or red. Anyone have one to spare by chance?

Just go to your local Walmart or whatever cheap-ass sporting good store is around and pick up a cue-ball for a couple bucks and stick it in there.

Normal sized pool balls are 2-1/4", just like the trackballs...

You can get the sparkle cue ball for $10.

Of course Arcadeshop has the off-white for $8 if you really want to go that route.

Thanks guys for the pool ball idea. I have these 2 on the way so we can decide what looks better in person. Paid about $13 shipped for both, not bad.

Wasn't there a post a year or so ago about restoring yellowed plastics?... I don't remember the exact mix, but IIRC it was a mix of some standard household chemicals and then you soak the object in it and leave it in the sun for a couple of days... would restore it back to it's original color.

If you're dead set on replacing it though... I'd probably go for a light green or light blue if you can find one (I've never looked into trackballs so I don't know what colors there are out there).

Been meaning to test this with some old hardware... one of these days.
