Ok, I am trying to decide which Golden Tee to add to the collection, so I thought I would throw it out there for everyone's opinion. Would you buy a GT2K in a showcase cab with a 33" monitor or a GT2005 Fore! in a regular cab with a 25" monitor? Of course the GT2005 is a little more expensive, but only by $75. Thoughts?

A dedicated fore--no contest. If you went to resell either, the GT Fore would be a lot easier. Plus the gameplay in GT2005 is more refined. I had a 2K, but once I sold it and got a GT2003 I couldn't imagine going back to the GT Classic series.

I don't know about the 2000, but the 2005 has way more courses from what I understand (my brother has one) and Pat Summerall narrating the entire time. Does the 2000 have the backspin and flyover? The 2005 does.

No, you can only turn the screen right/left. It's very basic and the game's atmosphere is bland compared to the Fore series. Also look into a Golden Tee Complete upgrade since that has even more courses than 2005. It's a simple board and hard drive swap.

I just picked up a dedicated Fore!, it's the way to go!

I have to say a lot depends on where your games are, and how difficult it is to get them there. My dedicated GT must stay in the garage. there is no way it can make it down the stairs and around the corner (tri angle landing on the stairs) to get to the basement. now a dynamo 33" showcase dose go down the steps. but an atari showcase will not.

All of my games are in the dining room/living room (it is one large room) so, not hard to get there. My house is one large man cave...

even with the control panel taken out? You do know it comes out right?

I'll put it to you this way. with 2 pro movers and myself we could not get a 20.5 cubic foot fridge down there. and that is a small fridge.

Now I can get pac's, nintendos, even sit down hydro thunder and other racing games down there. Go figure.
