I don't think you can go wrong with getting games you like to play. If you really like playing then enthusiasm for the game gets contagious. My mame always gets a lot of kid attention but what really cracks me up now is my 7 yo daughters fascination with Battlezone. I have had it for a couple of months and she asks to play every day. She told me today that she can't wait until she is tall enough to see through the periscope.

My kids love to play Pig Out. They play it together and laugh and laugh and laugh for ages.
And the Metals Slugs, Penguin Brothers, King of Monsters II, Rampage World Tour are favorites.

My son rocks th Dragons Lair . I am so proud. He likes the button mashers also. Not many 7 year olds can handle DL. Hell most adults can't handle DL.
I have 2 girls(10 & 14) and they like Puzzle Bobble on the Neo Geo. They also like the PC -10 with the NES games.
I would have to say they like the Gauntlet Legends the best...which really surprised me...

California Speed, Rush, Megatouch and Neo-Geo are getting the most love from Alli and her friends. They play the classics too but not near as much. DK probably gets the most play of all the classics.

My little 4 year old girl likes to play to Arkanoid, and she is actually better than most of my friends!
Pins, all the little kids I've seen with choices like pins in my collection. My son plays by sound, pushes the start button when the attract music comes on and the pulls the plunger when the right music starts, I am sooooo proud

My daughter only likes ms pacman, her boyfriend prefers cruis'n world but my nephew loves the classics. His 2 favorites are asteroids and freefall pinball.
