I was just wondering which games your kids like to play the most? In other words which of your games do your kids like the most?

I don't have any kids yet. Part of my excuse for buying games is so that nieces, nephews, cousins, etc can have something to do when they come over to our house. And at some point, when I do have kids, I want our house to be the "it spot" for our kids and their friends.

Are there any classics that are still a hit with the young ones?

Or are they only interested in Dance Revolution?

My wife's favorite game is Silver Streak Bowling. So I have to find one of those.

I don't want to have a basement full of games that only I enjoy. That would be lame.

My son (9) plays the TMNT, Xmen, Battletoads types.
My daughter (11) plays DK3, Puzzle Bobble, & Tetris mainly.

I would have to agree with you. It's always cool to have games that others will like too.

I know Gyruss is a big hit with all ages. The music reels em' in.

Multiplayers are very good too. More input here http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=129848

Zeke's peke or Ice cold beer. For those folks who fans of the videos games.

Most kids enjoy driving games. Everytime I do something at my house kids flock to the drivers.

Good luck on the Silver Strike Bowling, they're not cheap. It's much easier and cheaper to find a Golden Tee than a SSB.

My kids and the neighborhood kids like Atari Super Sprint. There's something about a steering wheel and pressing the accelerator.

Let me give you a description my 6 year old son gave while playing Food Fight.

"...Food Fight is like playing Toilet tag...you run until someone gets you...ohhh yeah, and you get to throw food..."

Tycoonbrad super sprint is on my super short list. That game is awesome. I played one a few years ago (again) and it had not lost its appeal one bit. My buddy and I spent many quarters on that one.

Your sons quote is hilarious.

 Kids don't appreciate anything. Nor understand much.

My pins always get played by kids. I have noticed that games where the kids can compete with one another like fighters seem to be a draw as well. The only surprise I have seen lately is the amount of attention Rampart got from the kids, and this was the two player, joystick operated, crappy version. I couldn't get the kids off of it...

My 3 year old has switched from our skill crane game being his favorite to Star Wars Trilogy but my 6 year old has recently taken to Silent Scope.

If it is out and visible, the Wii followed by the PS3.

At a party a few years ago there were about half a dozen kids and finally one of them came up to me and asked if I could turn on the Wii. They showed no interest in playing any of the arcade games. They just sat and played the stupid Wii Sports all night. Sigh.......

Right now the kids have been playing Gorf, Sinistar, and Q*bert, Tempest isn't getting any love. It changes all the time but these are the games the kids are playing right now. Here is a video of them playing the above 4 games in my work shop as i just got these 4 working.

My kids pretty much play Grand Theft Auto and also the Strip Poker game you'd often find at truck stops back in the day. They want to play real strip poker but I tell em "not 'till you're 12 son."

My 8 year old loves the Blitz 2000 gold adn plays it probably 58 out of 7 nights a week. FOR THE LAST 10 MONTHS! My 15 year old plays my 48 in 1 quite a bit. he is hook on Donkey Kong JR. and Galaga...
