That's why he multi-kit only works on a millipede. So you can have at least one good game in the cabinet. ;)

I personally like Centipede better but thats only because its easier then Millipede.

Millipede is a good challange.

I only played Centipede growing up, but I have a Millipede now. I think Millipede is the better game because there is so much going on. I may get the multi kit, but I am not too sure I would ever switch to Centipede. I need to play the game quite a bit to make sure before I spend the money on the kit. Millipede is a blast though.

Millipede is the [DDT] bomb. It's a gamer's game, made for those who mastered Centipede. IMHO, it's much better.

And there aren't many other arcade games that give you a video preview of every enemy and their attack pattern on one screen in attract mode...

I become bored playing Centipede in about 2 minutes. Millipede is much more fun and chaotic. The cabinet is also one of the prettiest Atari ever produced IMO.

Centipede is more of an iconic and recognisable game like Pacman & Galaga, everyone seems to know it. I prefer the Centipede artwork, but like the larger Millipede trackball and gameplay. I just sold my Centipede 2 days ago and plan on adding the multigame kit to the Millipede. I had the Centipede sitting next to the Millipede and poor thing was hardly getting any playtime at all. It was time for it to go. I do still have a project Centipede cab and a nice control panel so there is probably one that is still yet to be played in my Shackade.

Millipede eclipses Centipede in every way.

Centipede had to come first, it paved the way, still a good game in its own right, but Millipede is the superior game. It's a shining example of how to make a sequel.

Millipede all the way for me also.. In fact it's getting pretty close to becoming my favorite game the more I play it. A buddy from work came over a couple weeks ago and dropped 259k on my machine. I've been trying to reclaim the top spot ever since, but i'm maxxed out at 176k.

I think anyone who owns either should have the multikit. Both games are great. Most people prefer Centipede, because that's what they remember, but for the experienced gamer, it's Millipede all the way. I like to start out on Centipede and then play Millipede and then go back to Centipede. It's amazing how slow it seems when you do that.

My favorite is whichever one I am playing at the time. I have always liked "Deluxe" games, so I might favor Millipede slightly, but I like both.

I prefer the midi tracball over the mini, so I would go with millipede with a multikit.

millipede gets bonus points for the front graphics, but gets negative points the marquee overlay thats going to crack.

Guess I'll defend Centipede. It's simple looking, but deceptive in its mastery. Millipede seemed more gimmicky to me with its DDT bombs and sounds. Eh, they're both good, but I still lean towards centipede.

Millipede is better in my opinion...gets the blood moving. But I hate the 3" trackball...tires my hand. So I have a Centipede cabinet running the Multi-Centipede. Works for me.

Well I just got a Centipede cabinet so I better like it lol. I have played both but I do like the original the best so far I'm fairly good at it, probably why I like it more.

Multipede kit in a Centi cab. The smaller trackball is better, IMO.

Centipede is better. Hands down. Don't get me wrong, Millipede is a great game as well. Maybe it is because it is too "busy," or maybe it is because much less known, Millipede just doesn't reach Centipede's level. More doesn't mean better.

Centipede was one of my favorite games BITD. I think I tried Millipede twice back then since I wasn't into games in which I was killed off so quickly. I didn't really play Millipede until I picked one up recently in the last couple years. I put the Multipede kit on it and have decided to sell my Centipede and keep the Multipede. The more I play it, the better Millipede is to me. Centipede just seems boring compared to it.
