which flux to choose

I've never really needed flux for working on arcade monitors and PCBs. I get by with a solder sucker, a soldering iron and Kester 44 rosin 63/37 solder.

Is there any flux on there site you would recommend. Im putting in an order with them and want to take advantage of the shipping

There is only one kind of flux listed on that site. The rest are different forms of solder (paste, "removal alloy"). So if you feel the need to buy flux, then get the no-clean lead-free flux. Lead-free solder is more brittle and typically takes more heat, so flux intended for lead-free applications seems to work fine when used on leaded boards.

That said, I don't see needing flux to work on an arcade pcb. I use it all the time at my job working on BGA's and boards with heavy ground- and thermal-planes. I don't see many arcade boards needing the heat characteristics of a $500k packet router motherboard, but you never know.

On a side note, that kit looks pretty neat. I'm lucky enough to work for a company that can afford all of the neat tools and equipment that kit replaces, but that's still pretty cool.
