Which clear coat do you use over repainted/stenciled art? I just finished a Ms. Pac Stencil Restore, and from what others have posted, clearcoating seems to even out the finish in addition to providing some protection. The paint is water based latex except for the the black layer which is from a Rustoleum shake and spray can. The attached pic shows 3 cans of what I had on the shelf, but having never sprayed protectant over paint, I'm unsure. Any advice?

Use the Krylon. The other two are typically used for wood and will add an 'amber' coloration to your cabinet.

I didn't think Polycrylic really yellowed much if at all?

I hate all those spray based lacquer solutions though for the most part. Brush/roll on ain't that grand either, but you may want to test the Polycrylic if you use that. The texture it leaves from a spray can can be ugly unless you do a lot of sanding between coats.

Oil based varnishes tend to yellow. For woodworking, that's sometimes desirable. You probably want a water based or urethane clear.

Look for one with a UV protector in it. It doesn't help if the clearcoat stays clear and the art fades under it
