Where's your Sea Wolf?

Just saw this Midway Surface to Air, would really nice next to a seawolf!

How about this beast....if you look real closely.....you can see the "side" door. The door lock is just under the "B" of Bally. To put this in prespective....that door is almost the same size as a standard home interior door! Yes, you can hide inside this thing when the wife is pissed.

Working? I'd say between $4-700. I wouldn't sell mine ever, but if I did, I wouldn't take less than a grand.

Donde Esta Sea Wolf ?

"Where's my Sea Wolf ?"

Ironically enough, I've asked that question numerous times since early 2011.

I came across one back in February[mere days after buying/picking up my Omega Race], at a now-closed pawn shop 5 mins. distance from me.

The place primarily sold console games[NES-present], jewelry, and VHS/DVD's, which is what made having any arcade cabinet[let alone Sea Wolf] so completely out of character for that store.

It was sitting smack-dab next to the shop's front door[not plugged in], but I could never get any of the assclowns there to give me even a rough figure in terms of price.

They consistenly told me that it "had a broken transistor[what is it, a damn vintage radio]", and that it was "only sitting there until 'our electronics guy' comes to fix it/comes to pick it up".

They also vaguely told me that they'd bought it at auction{and knowing the seediness of this store, likely for pennies on the dollar}, and took my name and phone number for future reference.

I intended to purchase it in April{as I didn't have the money so early in the year], but it was long gone by then[and supposedly "getting fixed up"].

Long story short, I checked back regularly throughout the spring/summer{both in person and on the phone}, and always got the "broken transistor/its getting fixed up" story[the place unsurprisingly shut down for good last month].

I have absolutely no clue where that Sea Wolf ended up, but it was originally slated to be the second game in my home arcade{with the now-second Atari's Video Pinball, being the third}.

I saw one of these at an auction last weekend. It was in very nice cosmetic shape but not working. There was a non working Sea Raider right next to it.

I bid the Sea Wolf, but once the bidding hit $200 I was out. When you toss on the 28% (buyers premium and ghastly local sales tax) it wasn't worth it.

So, after having the power board rebuilt (again) and crimping on a new power connector, my machine is again working 100%. I decided to play a few rounds last night and hit my highest score ever. 99 Gs. Sweet!!

I am so glad it wasn't the tube!!

You must be thinking of my Space Wars, it is/was the tube. My Sea Wolf boards were 'rebuilt' one year ago by Alex Yeckley, yet he didn't replace any of the marginal caps nor did he replace the horribly worn out and corroded on-board connector. It worked for the most part but I would get all sorts of video garbage, sound issues and sometimes the game would just quit working all together. Tried telling Yeckley that I was still having issues right after the rebuild and he ignored me. I had Eddie Lutz fix it up right, I crimped on the new connector to the harness, and NOW she's 100%. I love this game.

Oh yes, I meant the Space Wars. Well, I hope you can get that fixed too! :D I have never played Sea Wolf, every one I have ever seen, has either been broken or no where near power.

Looks good Phetty. Luckily mine has held up ok. Nothing worse than one of the old B&W's going down....

So we have a new repair man for some of these old B&W's if needed?

I gave them six months before sending an email for a status update. Amazingly, they were just finishing up final testing and were about to contact me...that, or they lost my contact info long ago.
