I am looking for the .68ohm 2 watt resistor for a K7000 neckboard. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Torin

Mouser has a number of 680 mOhm 2W resistors.
The 1st one listed (and the one they have the greatest stock of) is P/N 667-ERX-2FJSR68E
The cheapest is 660-MOX2CT631RR68J.

I'm not an expert on the topic, but I'd be a little hesitant of that technique. Seems to me that a higher filament voltage may also lead to shorter filament life (as well as brighter picture).

It's a 19-cent resistor... and they don't make CRTs so much any longer.

I will order the resistor and install it, but at least I know I can jumper it to see if that will fire up the tube. Even though the resistor reads as a short, would it still not just act as a jumper as is? I guess I can jumper it and find out. Thanks for the help.

A .68 ohm resistor may as well be a piece of wire. Its not going to change the current/voltage to the heaters by much at all.

Yeah, I replaced R213 with a wire and still no neck glow. I have B+ at 170 on the front leg of that white resistor. Haven't checked the back leg yet. Not sure why the monitor won't fire up. I've checked for cold solder joints and checked C36 and D18 but still trying to track this one down. R213 tested as shorted but replacing it didn't do anything.

It sounds like it's close to firing up but its just not happening yet.
