I am doing a full restoration on my Spy Hunter. Does anyone know where to get these push button switches? What are they called? They are used for the special weapons buttons? I attached pictures. These buttons are working fine now but the controller is such a PIA to take apart that I just want to replace them and never take this thing apart again! Thanks!!

It looks like a momentary switch. Press on, release off. Search for "momentary switch push button"

Do you have a picture of the bottom? I can't tell if it is single pole single throw or double pole single throw.

Or a schematic which shows those switches?

As to the name, they are push button switches. I have one that is on/off like that for a pinball machine, with tabs for soldering on the side.

The other one I have like that is for my push to talk on my airplane. That would be where I'd suggest you look for switches. Aircraft Spruce and Specialty for example, or maybe Chief Aircraft if it still exists. (I found that there has been a lot of consolidation in the few years I have been grounded now that I am back flying.)

I was able to used salved ones.
I did look all over new replacements because the solder tabs break really easy on them. Can't find the exact match but there are alternatives that will fit the mounting hole for cheap.

OK thanks. Maybe I will just leave them. On a different note, anyone have the actual push buttons for these? Someone must have replaced one of mine in the past as one is white and one is red! Would like to have matching red ones!

I've never known these to fail. I'd just leave them.
I've seen some fail in push to talk applications. They are good for a million cycles or more generally.

There are a lot of switches out there that are momentary switch push button type. You might be able to find one that fits.

I wonder if you can use the ones Arcadeshop has for Midway games. I bought a red one for my Tail Gunner 2.

The push button part, @Mylstar
I've got some of the alternate switches if you need .
The arcade shop ones weren't even great for what they are meant for. Have to press twice sometimes to play my wizard of wor.

I meant I've never seen the buttons fail in a Spy Hunter. I'm sure this type of button can fail, but it's so unlikely in Spy Hunter, I'd just focus on something else.

Solder tabs breaking is the way they fail.
Otherwise they pretty much last forever.
