Quote from thread asking for parts:

This is the game:

This is the COG I need replaced. I do not know if these parts are specific to games or if this is a really common part.

PM me if you got any offers please.

I didn't get very much help so I'm gonna ask here. Anyone know where I can get a replacement COG or whatever this thing is called? I've found so little on this game that I'm thinking I have to get another part that will work the best with it.

Post a picture of the crane itself including the marquee and control panel... and a picture of the control board itself.

That should help folks figure out what crane it is.

The game is called Puppet Paradise and I'll upload the picture of the PCB I got later today.

That looks almost exactly like a pinion gear for an rc car.. I would count the teeth and look at a local rc hobby store or towerhobbies online

the board looks like an import board, my guess its an import crane, most of them use
interchangeable parts. i assume its from the crane gantry you should try smart industries
or coast to coast entertainment. tell them you have one of their <insert width here> import cranes and you need the part. dont tell them its from some offbrand place because they wont
support it

the cog in question looks like a worm gear. A rc car pinion has straight teeth, this one looks like they aren't.

try www.sdp-si.com hit the buy online button to get to their catalog. You will need to know some information like, Metric or inch, number of teeth, hole diameter, pressure angle and pitch diameter.

To find the pressure angle you have to look at the gear that drives this one your looking for. When looking at from down the shaft it is on , if you see one thread start (like a normal screw) the PA is 14 1/2, if you see two its 20, if you see four it is 25.

Pitch diameter is the theoretical diameter of the gear mesh. Just pull up one of the pdf's from their catalogue and look at what they are measuring.

good luck
