Where do I buy new monitors for Nintendo cabinets? Is there a direct replacement for a Sanyo EZ20 out there? I understand that I will probably have to add a audio amplifier to the game but is there even such a monitor available?

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Most arcade monitors can work but other than the two original models that shipped with these i don't believe any are a drop in and go replacement. Nintendo boards put out an inverted signal so you need an inverter board to fix the orientation. I think the colors may also be effected and I believe the inverter board you can buy also address this. And as you mentioned the audio amp issue needs to be addressed and you will have to adapt the original nintendo wiring to the monitor as the original wiring to the monitor is different than pretty much all other style of monitors out there.

ooh. Cool. That would work. Is there anything special about the Sanyo Monitor other than that? Can I just switch out the video cable and add the inverter take it to a G07 or something like that?

Do you guys know of anywhere to buy replacement yokes for the Sanyo EZV20 monitors?

It hurts me to switch it to Jamma and loose the original setup but it's been pretty darn difficult to find monitor parts.

I was just getting at you would not have to worry about the OG monitor or power supply, you could still use the factory controls, ect.
I fear you will be replacing the PS soon.

As long as my games have an original game pcb, correct controls and nice artwork I am good. I could care less if it has the original monitor, wiring or power supply as long as it works.

Here's what I think I might do. P&L in Orange County sell refurbished monitors for $149. They are 19" and look great. I think I might mount these into my Nintendo cabinets and use the inverters from Mikesarcade.com

What do you think?
