I have a lot of old TVs that I would like to convert to arcade monitors via the Wei-Ya chassis sold by 8liners. Is there somewhere I can buy metal universal mount frames (the barebones, open ones) to easily mount the TV tube and control boards? I've found several places to buy the complete monitors, bare tubes and chassis but no luck finding just the frames.

Says it works with crts...

What size do you need?

Jeebus cripes - that's about enough money for a chunk of metal isn't it? Man I wonder how bad the shipping would be. It's ok to price police a business right? heh heh

You're actually considering paying $50+ before shipping for a freakin' FRAME?

I sold a couple for $15 each a few months back. Ask around.

I may still have a "universal" frame around here...I'll look.

If anyone has a vertical frame for a Burger Time Midway cabinet, I do need one of those..

Burgertime uses a standard shelf mount/universal frame. A vertical frame will not mate with the Midway brackets, as it does not have the right mounting flanges. I tried a vertical 4600 in mine and ended up having to go with a shelf mount G07 with the tube oriented vertically.

Will it work with the Spy Hunter one?

I would put a wtb post in the wtb forums. Lots of people have these. I just threw out a bunch myself. You should be able to pick up a few cheap or even free if someone is local..

That's probably the route I will take. The Happ one is WAY too pricey considering a full monitor from 8liners was roughly twice that. I need to stop picking up tubes and just repair my games! :)
