Where to buy a flyback for a WG D9500? (Edit: Solved! But another question on page 2)

I'm not finding these online...

I did a bit of searching yesterday and came up empty, also. I saw that that monitor hasn't been made in a couple years and I wonder if the parts are all but dried up for them.

Yeah, it's crazy, at least to me, because I can easily get parts like this for monitors from 30+ years ago, but something recent? Nope.

You can still buy the chassis... might want to call them, maybe they have the flybacks listed under something else....

The picture of the chassis posted from a Billabs monitor is a Rodotron CH-666. http://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/images/0/0c/Rodotron_CH-666_Schematic.pdf

Its basically the same as a Mackvision 3129

http://na.suzohapp.com/service_center/pdf/support/Makvision/49-2715-00schem.pdf

And the Wei-Ya 3129 series is the same. I believe all were available in a single and dual focus. It looks like your original fly had the dual focus controls but only one focus wire. That is strange.

I know alva amusements stocks the Wei-ya 3129 flyback with the single focus wire. I'm not sure if it's the same as the Rodotron but the chassis is a direct copy.

Here are the alva part numbers FLYBACK FOR C3129A, HI-3129C, MTI-LTC-031, ONE FOCUS, $ 29.00.

To be honest I never tried to use a dual focus fly as a single focus. So I'm not sure if it will work. Looking at the schematic it looks like there is just a added pot and wire. Also it looks like your old fly just had the wire removed. If you do try it be careful of the extra wire it will have around 5K VDC on it.

Also the red wire that wraps around the ferrite core needs to be installed correctly. I believe the wire with the piece of heat shrink on the end goes towards left side of the chassis.
