Where is Wells Gardner K7203 A Horizontal Hold

Moldy oldie alert.

I have the same problem.

It is with Rampage. Others have reported a K7203 working with it.

I have 2 different Rampage main PCBs. Both scroll from top to bottom. I have 6 wires connected for both H and V holds (MCR game alert!). I'm using pins 1-6.

I have tested this monitor with other PCBs (not recently, maybe 6 months ago) and it didn't have this problem.

As an update, I could not get either of the 2 rampage PCBs I have to sync on it. I also tried a second K7203 and it didn't want to work either.

I tried a vision pro (13") and it did work.

Silly MCR games. They just don't want to play with some monitors.

I forgot to update this, I wanted to do this test, but a past owner bent & soldered the non-test two pins together. :(

I've seen the 7203 not sync when the "test" jumper is missing. It should have one in place over 2 of the 3 pins.

I just saw this and it was my issue! Missing test jumper wouldn't sync put a jumper on now its working!!

I was using the crafty mech video generator -- so you must need for that

I knocked that jumper thing off on a K7203 I capped once. I also appreciate how like none of the caps fit on it at all. it's about as horrible as a D9200 to cap. (not really, but it's quite abysmal) I don't know why those pins are so long.

also mind=blown on the H. Hold/V. Lin thing. the manual just says "W. Hold" whatever that means.

So far the worst cap job I've done was a D7700 it took me 2 nights! So many damn caps..... I got tired half way through....

yeah isn't that like the 19" D9200? worst ever. LOL the caps around the edges were ok, it was getting into the middle where it was stupid. I take the metal border thing for the outer caps (and flyback off) and then put the border back on when doing the middle caps... which really sucks. but I think those at least have the cap markings on the underside.

the K7200 I think the hardest part is making the over volted and much larger new caps all fit.

I can confirm...man that chassis was a pita to recap(7203)....I did a couple of things to make the larger voltage rating caps fit that were too close for comfort to other components...used some fine heatshrink on the legs of caps that were bigger and some plastic spacers on the legs in other places. Not to mention how much of the caps where glued down to the board and even wiring. Worked great and has been running perfect. K7203 makes a damn good picture for sure though, great looking monitor!
