The ballast is bad in the Joust I am cleaning up. Its a 120PH-118-S, .340 amp, 60hz 118volt ballast. Runs a F14-T12 bulb. Where are you guys buying them from?

I have a small stack I bought on clearance last year from one of the big box stores... I forget which one closed 'em out - Lowe's or Home Debit.

Since you probably won't find them in stores anymore, Bob R or Ebay I'd think. Even if they disappear from stores, I'd think there are enough of these out there to be available NOS for decades.

If you can't find one, I'll swap you one for something...

Home depot and lowes used to be the places to get them although I'm sure there are/were other sources. I'm sure they still sell the modern equivalent but a while back they phased out the exact style that was used in our games for a newer more energy efficient style which I think might need an extra wire or something wired differently. I know Lowes phased the old style out and sold them off cheap. think I bought a dozen or so then. Not sure about Home Depot. They may still have them but I believe the old style was gonna stop being made so once they ran out that would be it.

It was Lowe's that closed them out last year. I got a dozen then. I'm down to just one left now. I've been using them up lately.

Home Depot still sells these ballasts. I think they sell for around $5.

I recently got a complete fluorescent 18" lamp assembly with switch from home depot. I then installed the lamp assembly (minus the housing and switch) in Millipede and it
worked great.

Yes, Home Depot still sells these for about $5.

Lowe's was the one that closed them out a few years ago. I picked up 26 for a grand total of about $5...

Thanks Ken! Home Depot did indeed have the ballast I needed. I bought two @ $6.99 each and they only had three left. It worked perfectly, now I have a working light in my Joust.

That's a great idea and one I thought about doing if I couldn't find a ballast.
