I was just wondering for those who use Heat Shrink Tubing where you get yours. More specificly where i can source 5/64" / 2mm.

a few years ago i bought a 127pc Storehouse Tubing set from harbor freight but they don't seem to carry it anymore, it comes with 30pc's of 5/64" (which i use the most) which is great for 22g jamma harness wire. Recently i went to H.F. to get more but the smallest they have is 11/64 and that unfortunately is to large for 22g.

I google searched and searched ebay and the only source i could find was

http://cgi.ebay.com/Heat-Shrink-Tub...ltDomain_0&hash=item56412ba03d#ht_1831wt_1144

at 5$ for 9 feet, which is a great price and they have multiple colors to choose from (if your into that).

+1 on this request, I'd like to get my hands on a pile of tubing too. It's just one of those things I've never gotten around to buying yet.

Time to stop using electrical tape

harbor freight is a great place to get it if you have one local, but not for 5/64" (2mm).

I use to use electrical tape but if you don't get the stuff with the (UL) logo it fails after a short period of time. I also got really picky about how nice i did electrical repairs (mainly automotive). and every once in a while i would come across something repaired or made by someone else who was a master at soldering and shrink-wrap and it always looked so sexy.

Was just about to mention electronics stores..

I don't know if you have a Fry's Electronics in your area, but it's usually in with all the single caps/IC/breadboard stuff. I used some a while back to wrap a computer PSU with plastic mesh....you know, back before the PSU suppliers started doing it on their own. :p Just used the shrinky-dinks to attach it, but thinking back would've been a hell of a lot easier to just use the heatshrink to do the whole cable!

where they at? (ocean state job lot) wait you mean Job Lots? that's how i've always known them, never been there either >.<

dxvinnyxb hit me up with another online source that carries 3/64" also!

i don't mind going to schenectady, or going 100 miles each way to pick up a cab ;-)

I buy my floresent tubes there on sale 2 for a $1, and tools are cheap too. Think of it as Harbor and Yankee Dollar fused together. You have to inspect the whole store, there are crazy things all over the place. Spend some time and check it out.

Here is the flyer, this weeks is just a 1 pager:

Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse on this one guys but I get mine at TwistedQuarter.com. I'm always buying stuff from them so it was a no-brainer when I found that they offer it. Bought 8' of 1/4" tubing for a nominal price.

Small pieces I get at the Home Depot. I forget what size but you get a few pieces of the same size, for a good price.
