Where do I find a replacement for a Fujitsu MB81C78A-45P-SK

I've looked and looked for a source for this IC. I can't find anywhere that sells just one. Is there a substitute? It comes from a Lethal Enforcers board. L6, I believe.

That is a 64k static RAM. There are lots of replacements, Panasonic MN4464M-08LL is one.

You could try channelmanic's store. Here is the only 64k RAM in the same formfactor I could find on his site : http://www.arcadecomponents.com/catalog/item/2251646/1691358.htm. It is a 50ns chip instead of the 45ns that is on the Lethal Enforcers PCB. It will probably be ok, though.

Are you sure the RAM is bad? The intial test can report bad RAM for lots of reasons : cut trace, loose solder joint, bad logic chip connected to the RAM, etc.

Also check the Hybrid Sound Chip at D2 for bent pins. I've had some of those Konomi boards report RAM errors when a few of the pins are shorted together on the HSC. The fact that they stick out so far from the PCB makes them really easy to bend together and short out.

Brian.

Is that a skinny .3" package? If so I have CY7C185-35 that will work.
If its a standard .6" package I have many part numbers that will sub it.
