Who cares though? I always laughed at people who's claim to fame is "having been around longer than all others". As long as sites like this keep the hobby alive, who cares what or who has been around longest?

Agree with Jow. It really shouldn't matter that Richie was here a couple years before Zeke. It does always seem to be a card that folks will look at though when a scuffle happens between two parties on this site as well as others. We can't help but take notice as chanters on the sidelines of the scuffle.

Z3K3 could be Walter Day as far as I know. Could be the coolest guy in the world. But he pulled a 'bitch' card in my opinion with his actions first. The thread where he claimed it was a April Fool's joke (but was clearly aimed at Richie) comes to mind when I use that term. Richie is who Richie is. It was only a matter of time before he was gonna do what alot of us knew he was gonna do.

z3k3 is really well-known and respected amongst a great many arcade collectors stretching back into the mid 90s. Like many of us who were around pre-KoK/KLOV forums/etc, he just doesn't post that much. This is not the only place where arcade collectors communicate.

Then why does the guy act like some newb ass? Seriously. I thought he was HAWKFAN for a bit there for crying out loud. The dude needs to grow up.

he put on the Kong off so if he tries to make some bucks off of it, that's fine. I think that one would be a fool to pay the premium price but hey... whatever. I think it's foolish to pay such a high price for one of those machines but I Richie doesn't deserve to be harassed for it. Let him post and you can ignore it.

I got my Kong off marquee so I'm happy! Richie put in all the extra effort to make sure that mine got signed... that's pretty cool if you ask me.

Ok i think this thread has been going on long enough lol. I know I'm new seeing that I only joined about 2-3 months ago, but this thread is kinda redicilous........I've had my share of threads just asking questions about users that somehow branch off into a lot of drama. The only best thing to do about threads like this is lock them.

The only best thing to do about threads like this is lock them.

I called out Richie for selling products reminiscent of Franklin Mint commemorative plates. Kong Off marquees and cabs are manufactured collectibles. Whether you agree or not, my criticism was a reaction to his hawking of Kong Off memorabilia in the General forum.

Arcade collecting has a healthy eco-system of people discovering, fixing, restoring, buying, trading, and preserving arcade games. High score fetishsizing is not my thing. I doubt it makes for interesting TV, unless you have a Brian Kuh. Otherwise, the hobby does not need a champion for acceptance.

note: Never did I rag on his prices. it was a strictly a qualitative critique.

I know you started this thread to determine what happened to this guy Richie Knuckles and you weren't intending on stirring up old crap, and yet you do continue to stir up this so called crap. And not just you, everyone else in this thread who feels the need to add their two cents to something that occured between 2 individuals (besides the admin/mods) and not you or anyone else. Hell I know how to pick my battles, and I stay out of personal affairs between individuals that did not involve me. And I don't pick sides simply on rumors from other individuals who should keep their noses out of other people's business.

I've gone through crap like this with friends! And as much as I hated it, its like I picked sides simply because I still wanted to hang out and talk with the so called other side. I'm gonna leave out the details cause it would be a lengthy story.

Naw naw naw dude. I wasn't referencing your opinion on the Dk thread. You're more than welcome to your opinions in any thread. I only think you crossed the line and trolled him with your thread which was titled "Hey I'm gonna start a new Reality arcade show". It was bad taste. Did you honestly think you weren't gonna receive a reaction from the guy you were poking? You tried to use the shield of April's Fools day as a cover when you started taking a little heat. Well, Richie did the same thing back at you. What's good for the goose, right?

Anywhoo, you're entitled to your views, opinions, and choice of threads. You must have said or done something though that obviously did not sit well with the community and conduct code for this site, otherwise you would not have received your vacation time.

You gotta realize that this place is a popularity contest first, and preserving arcade games is secondary. You might want to try beefing up your post count, name-dropping, building your klov rep and just doing whatever it takes to get your name out there a little more. Maybe if you weren't wasting so much time restoring games you might get somewhere
