So, I finally figured out why my UDOT spinner was so sloppy, it's missing 2 small bits of plastic. I tried both Home Depot and Lowe's and neither had anything that would have been a direct fit. I'm pretty sure the second one is either a type of sleeve bearing or a simple nylon spacer, not sure if one would perform better than the other. The first one though, I haven't been able to identify, so I don't know where to find it. I figured it just might be some type of washer or thrust bearing, but I can't find one of either of those to match the dimensions. It looks like the roller on a sliding door, but all the ones I saw had a nut pressed into the center to secure with a screw, and they weren't even the correct dimensions.

Part 1 (Nylon thrust bearing?)
inner diameter ~ 1/4"
outer diameter 5/8"
height ~ 3/16"

Part 2 (Nylon sleeve/spacer?)
inner diam. ~ 3/16"
outer diam. ~ 1/4"
length 3/8"

I did find a place online that had a listing for a similar sized spacer, but I want to see if I can find a site that has both pieces.

The top one looks like a screw bezel or a standoff, which should be availble at Ace Hardware. Do a google search for them - you'll find them.

The other one looks like it is the same nylon material as a coil sleeve. I'd suggest looking up nylon tubing and see if you can find it. If it is metric, I may have a line on some from some soccer field line sprayers. You are basically looking for very thin wall nylon tubing. Search for Nylon Bushing - you'll need the wall thickness and OD to get the right one.

Where I live Ace hardware would be my best bet to find those types of parts. Home depot and lowes really don't carry those things in my area. Might also check www.arcadefixit.com as they tend to have more obscure parts for games. I also seem to remember that someone used to produce spinners that were very similar to DOT spinners so the parts might still be available through whoever sold them, or possibly still sells them.

I saw one of those MAME spinners and it's engineered completely different; it doesn't have these parts. I'm sure these are somewhat common parts, I just can't seem to find out what the first part is called.

I went to ACE today and didn't come up with any exact matches. I did find that a Slide-Co roller (item # 163582) for a bifold door can be used in place of the upper leaf switch actuator (piece in top pics). It has the same ID and a close OD, but has to be sanded down to the proper thickness. It looks like I was a bit too liberal in my measurements of the nylon spacer though. The ID is actually for a #8 screw (0.17"), but the OD is 0.217". I bought a 1/4" one and tried sanding it down but the heat and pressure from the belt sander warped one end and it wouldn't slide freely. I looked all over the net but couldn't find one with those specs. The slot in the spinner is only 0.222", so no way a 1/4" OD will do. With a wall thickness of < 1/16", Bally must have either custom manufactured these or they somehow sanded a bunch of 1/4" spacers down.

Mylstar, if you can find these parts in those boxes. I'd be interested in them. I also need a sleeve for the actuating pin on a TRON joystick. I see you have the pin on your site, but no sleeves.
