Who has 'em in stock, and the best prices? 8-Liners.com, Alva? Anyone else? 8Liners has 'em for $170 shipped.

I picked up an Imperial 19" CGA monitor at Arcadeshop.com last week for $199. They have no more of the Vision Pro 2 monitors and don't expect to receive any more, even though their web site still has it listed.

So the $170 shipped is a decent price from 8Liners.com?

What is the brand of the monitor they're selling? Do they say? If you do a search for 8liners.com in these forums, you'll find people with good and bad experiences with them. I've never ordered from them, so I have no idea if it's the same thing I bought or not.

I've wondered about the future of 19" monitors for games, given the CRT becoming obsolete. It seems that between old G07, 4600, and 4900s with burn, and 19" tubes from old TVs, we should be good to go. If that's not easy for someone, there's using a TV tube, and buying an 8-liners type chassis.

In 10+ yrs of collecting, I've never bought a new monitor, but it will be a shame not having the option. Even so, it's a lot less of a problem than not being able to find actual parts/artwork to restore a game.

I grabbed a couple of Vision Pros when I could and I'm saving them for the right game.

I only wished I'd stocked up when I was getting them in bulk for around $119 with free shipping :-( My rep at Happ would call with the most inane BS for sale, but he never when the single biggest line item I bought was limited to stock on hand.

The worst part is when I talked to him after the fact, he mentioned they were warned about discontinuing them.
