Ive been waiting to hear what the next Stern will be. I always get my scoop on here before Stern actually e-mails me.

Im guessing Avengers based off a few things.

I may have to buy my first new pin. What do new Sterns usually go for, and how long out would this new one be, roughly?

Based on the past three pinball machines (Tron, Transformers & AC/DC), there will be three levels. All prices listed below are simply guesses based on these previous runs.

$8,000+ NIB X-Men Limited Edition - X quantity built - custom art related to limited edition, custom cosmetics related to limited edition, same playfield toys, ramps and code as Premium.

$7,000+ NIB X-Men Premium Edition - unlimited version - This version will have the ramps, toys and code as designed. Custom art related to Premium edition, Custom cosmetics related to premium.

$5,000+ NIB X-Men Pro Edition - unlimited version - This version will be the base model. It will play with similar code as the premium and limited version. It will not be as complete as either. It is intended for those that want the game play without paying extra for all the cosmetic enhancements.

Thanks for the numbers :). Looks like it's going to be quite the expense. I'm also glad you mentioned the pro ones don't have all the playfield toys and ramps, I may have ended up disappointed just buying the cheapest one. How long between Stern games usually? (ie, how long do I have to save, lol)

Per the stern insiders *spies as you call them* they will have 2 LE models and the pro model. No premium model for this one which is complete BS, but that's Sterns model for you!

I heard it was going to be Dark Side of the Rainbow... They were going to follow up their successful AC/DC pin with another rock and roll act... Signed a deal with Pink Floyd and then realized that Wizard of Oz was the hot new thing. Next thing you know, Dark Side of the Rainbow was born.

Those prices are batshit crazy...you're about $1000 high on all of them.

X-Men is going to just be Pro and LE. 500 total LE....250 will be "Hero" editions and 250 will be "Villain" editions.

Pro will be low 4k-ish and LE will be mid 5k-ish.
