WHERE ARE OUR TAPPER CPOs that we PRE-PAID FOR?!?!?!

I just dont get it. I think it is ridiculous to take 100% preorders. That clearly tells me that the coordinator either does not have the money to pay for this project themselves or doesnt want to risk buying X number of cpo's to meet the minimum order and be stuck with them if nobody wanted them. The only exception that I would make to this, is if the coordinator of the project was also the person who was creating the item.

At this point, I would think that it is getting close to the time that the seller needs to man up and either clearly provide updates to the buyers.. it wouldnt even be too far to expect a couple of bucks refunded.

if you preordered something at bestbuy and it wasnt delivered when expected, wouldnt you expect an update? i know they are big time and the seller isnt a big corporation, but there are still minimum standards of customer service expected.

Every seller on a project like this needs to take some lessons from the Berzerk/Frenzy control panel project. I get constant email updates on the status of the project and the updates are posted to a website. Every step is communicated. I think in general, no one has a problem with delays as long as there is communication.

I don't see what the big deal is. I figured this was the norm. I've ordered one thing from thisoldgame, a CPO I designed and it took twice the amount of time that I was originally told. I did get a little anxious, but I didn't resort to taking it here before I got a private response from him. I never started a thread about it. If I've learned anything from this site, it's that custom shit should be patiently waited on. There are always delays for custom work. If you have any questions, send a query to the other party and wait a few days.

BTW - from this moment forward, I don't think that it is fair for ANYONE to demand a 100% prepayment for a print job. If you want to print shit and sell it (FOR PROFIT) then you need to assume 100% of the risk.

No one forced anyone to pay for a pre-order. You chose to hop in and pre-pay. Look back at the DK2 artwork kits. This happens all the time. If you don't like how long it's taking, don't take that risk next time. While it does suck that he hasn't hit his target dates, it happens.

I don't think we needed 3 responses to the original thread plus this thread. Lose the caps, and gain some patience. You'll get your CPO, I'm sure. Not to mention a PM is probably better served here instead of dragging your tantrum out into the public forum.

Thank you. I read BlkDog's rants and about no more "Bullshit 100% prepays" and the thought that kept going through my head was, "No one is forcing you to buy this or any other project."

If you don't have the tolerance or patience for delays, don't buy stuff before it is available. If that means you miss out on some stuff, so be it. It's not like you can't get it after the fact anyways. LOTS of people on this group buy stuff like this with either the intention to resell or just end up not using it. Will you possibly have to pay a premium? Maybe, but it seems like a good investment if you are this worked up about this.

Isn't this being done by Rich from thisoldgame?

Agent-X is being done by This Old Game for Rick Ford (roadrunner)... I'm 99.999999999% sure that NO ONE has pre-paid for Agent-X so no one has anything to complain about there.

MxRacer47 (Rich) has hired Rich Lint (This Old Game) to do the tapper CPO's... So, this is really between you guys and MXRACER47. I have no doubt that MXRACER47 will deliver.

Not defending waiting 100+ days after paying 100% up front I just know you'll get what you paid for soon enough.

tapper cpo

Hello, I have written a few responses on the status of this project. I had said that I was not happy with the color match and that I got a second collector who I respect involved as well to give rich his opinions too. We are waiting for rich to come up with a new set of samples of the tapper cpo for better accuracy. The samples I got were off on color in a few areas and I just could not ok them. I think everyone would have been very disappointed. I have not recieved the second set of samples as of yet. The project has taken longer than expected but nobody needs to worry about getting there product. Rich@thisoldgame will come thru its just that this is a difficult project. You can check my feedback on here and also know I have done another repro art project "taito frontline cpo's" in the past and delivered on that as well. Several people on the board also know me and know I am an honest person to do business with.

Please hang in there a bit longer and these will be completed.

thanks , Rich

Yeah I talked to a. Klov member who did prepay on agent x and he said he asked for a refund cause he was tired of waiting. I just find it ironic that someone who jumped in with the yoke mob is no better at delivering product. Kind of like the pot calling the kettle black and I am not refering to mxracer

Well, this is different than the yoke debacle. That was a case where the seller lied and gave out fake tracking numbers and completely broke contact on a project that went years past the deadline. In this case, the seller is still communicating.

This Old Game isn't taking pre-payments for anything (other than t-shirt of the month club) since D2K (Who always communicated on the project) ... I've talked to Rick Ford and he stated that people where just on a waiting list and haven't pre-paid for Agent-X... I'm pretty sure This Old Game hasn't been paid for anything Agent-X related yet ... Tapper CPO's? I'm not sure if Rich (MXRACER) paid Rich Lint (This Old Game) or not.

Rich has half the money to date and gets the rest when the project is completed as per his rules of setting up a private project deal. Thats not the issue here.

Thanks for doing this project, MX. I'd rather wait for a CPO I'm happy with than something with mismatched colors. Keep up the good work(You & Rich) and keep us posted.

I'm generally an impatient guy myself, but I'm also VERY particular about having it look "right". I'll definately wait indefinately if it will be perfect in the end! But like I said, I only paid two weeks ago so my perception is not exactly the same as John's.

I guess I was drinking last night. Sorry for my rant. :)

I guess I still don't understand why a prepayment was needed. Initially, you are doing all the artwork on the front end only and you need to make a few testing samples. You don't need to purchase all the production materials at that time. Right? So, why not just make the sample CPO first, make sure it looks good, and then put it up for sale and THEN buy all the production materials?

...and there is quite a difference between 2 weeks between "updates" and the months and months that went by between updates on the yoke project.
