So most of us know the story of how Mario was originally named Jumpman on Donkey Kong, but was renamed Mario by Nintendo of America after their landlord Mario Segale.

Here's my question: When did Nintendo first start using the name Mario? All of the instruction cards and flyers I've seen for Donkey Kong list the Jumpman name. Was the first time Donkey Kong Junior?

James Earl Jones in the prototype. They changed it just before release.

The Super Mario bros cartoon it is Captain Lou Albano, not only did he to the live actor part but he did the voice over.

Peter Cullen was Mario in the Saturday Supercade
