although i feel awful about a damaged game in transit.......listen to this tale. saturday i went into my basement (another rain storm) i saw water on the floor but that water was not coming from the walls, it was pouring in from my breaker box! little did i know the outside service line was split funnelling water into my panel. i had an electrician come and eventually replace and upgrade my entire electrical service inside and out....then when they went to hook up the ground we realized i had a watermain leak! then the water department showed up and the valve blew off the pipe sending water everywhere! then the truck i use for work caught fire! the plumbers got the water under control finally friday! so all in all it was a pretty fucked up week!!! the good news is my games were ok and they are now wired seperately with thier own switch panel on the cieling and a surge protector installed directly into the breaker panel!!!! so when you think life is bad, look around someone else has it worse!!

Well, now when you go to sleep at night, you know

a. the water main isn't going to break, it already is.
b. the electrical won't flood, it's been replaced
c. your truck won't catch on fire, it already burned down
d. you can't break that bezel on the space invaders, you already did

So think of it as less things to worry about.

WOW and i thought i had it rough lately.

I had my car blow up about a year ago and it sat at my house until last week............. i finally had the cash to have a new motor put in it. YAY!

Well ever since my car wasnt running i had been driving a nice little gmc sonoma around that i had bought from a lady i worked with right around the time my car blew up............ and i kid you not>>>> the day i take the sunfire in for repairs my truck blew up!! Threw oil everywhere and i think a rod went through the motor.

I mean i literally had my car towed to the repair shop, and then picked up the motor from a salvage yard, dropped off the motor (with my truck), went on my way home and my truck blew up LOL. wheww when we think we have it rough someone else is having it just as bad.

however now im driving around my car i haveent been able to drive for over a year lol, but now my truck is back in the cars spot LOL ugh!

Good luck with everything :)

Sounds like some of my typical bad luck. If anything can go wrong, it probably will. Before I got home tonight, my wife texted me to let me know that our heater/AC unit wasn't working and it was cold in the house. We had JUST had a technician come out last week and replace a bad "contactor" in the heat pump. The entire unit is less than a year old, and is the second COMPLETELY DIFFERENT new unit that we have had installed in less than two years.

When I got home, I called the A/C company, and they sent out a tech to do "after hours" work. To get to our air handler, you have to go through our gameroom and theater to get into the crawl space. Once in there, he found that the main power wire that goes into the disconnect box had burned and screwed up the disconnect junction box. You could see where the wires had melted/burned, and it is a wonder that we didn't have a house fire. He didn't have an appropriate junction box in his truck, so he had to put in a request to have someone come out in the morning to replace it. Which means I am going to have to walk ANOTHER tech (or techs) back through the house to get it fixed.

Oh, and by the way, last December we had a "100 year storm", which happened to be the SECOND one in the last 5 years, where we had about 6 inches of rain within about 4 hours time. Water got into my gameroom, and I had to frantically move all of the games to "dry" areas, pull up the carpet, replace the wet padding and dry everything out. Just the sort of thing that EVERYONE needs to deal with just before Christmas!

All kidding aside, your problems seem to be a little more profound and "all at once" than mine...

ie seen em fall put before and seen the aftermath of some that the straps loose end flopped out in the wind and got caught under the tire, instantly yanking the strap 80% tighter and basically halving the cabinet lol. could always be worse man..
