I was in the garage and I ran across more pieces of my armor attack.
Not much is left of the poor thing Just the marquee a couple of screen overlays that was double stuck to the screen. The plexiglass art that goes in front of the monitor. I think I still have the cp for it too. There is not much left of the old game just a few little parts and a thought of maybe one day.

I saw a guy in who had one for 600. I was tempted but part were hard to find 10 years ago. I assume they are even harder now. I really didn't have an extra 600 to spend.

So when do you, say enough to a pile of parts? There always that nagging thought if I sell these parts, You just know one of these games will just pop up again.

I have 2 armor attack cabinets That I have no plans on restoring.. I think both are complete. probably have bad monitors and possibly bad boards.. I was going to fix one up for my personal collection, but then I found a nicer working one.

If you comming to CAX, you could see it/pick it up..

I know about CAX. I tended to avoid it in the past just becuase I know it can be an expensive place. I take one of those one of these a few of those.. Now I need to rent a Large truck and a Warehouse..

So what do these armor attack look like?

I wish I could figure out this question too. I have an extra boardset for each of my Cinematronics games, a spare monitor HV unit, and a spare b&w vector tube for when my Star Castle tube dims. The problem is they're just taking up space, both games continue to run. How long should I hang onto these parts for the "what if?" factor...???

Y'all are the worst packrats I've ever seen.

Hang on to this stuff FOREVER! ;)

You're welcome, if that helped you rationalize anything...

I am getting rid of projects now. I am just tired of moving stuff around all the time to try to make it look like I am cleaning up the garage. There is simply to much stuff for the it to ever be organized, so a lot of it has to go. I am giving away a bunch of it just so I don't have to deal with trying to sell it. A bunch of parts and crap left today, and I am glad. I probably spent $500 on that stuff, but I wasn't using it and don't have the time or patience to do anything with it.

IF it is rare, I can almost see holding on to it, but only if it is for a game that is really important to you.

(In true hoarder fashion) Any Asteroids PCBs, K7000 chassis/boards? :D You're not too far away from me...

Seriously? If someone didn't go into your "gameroom" or your garage, no one would even know you had games....

When is enough?

1) When you have to choose between keeping parts or getting divorced.

2) When you pay more to store the stuff than you do on rent/mortgage....

I guess I'm okay then :) I can still get my car in the garage.

You can keep spare boardsets inside of your cabs. That's what I've started to do. Just look at all that negative space inside some of these cabs that could be used. I'll even keep small parts, like extra buttons, inside the coin box. Just do it in a way so you won't damage anything inside by having loose parts sliding around when you move the cab.
