As some of you know I'm in the process of revamping the basement arcade. What I've learned is that everyone should clean the walls in the basement to prevent mold and mildew from being a long term guest. So that beings me to the point of having my games mobile. Furthermore floor epoxy is not cheap by any means and I want to protect the floor.

So yesterday I spent about $40.00 on 4 three wheel casters. For the first time moved my games without breaking my back and without tearing them down. I have two options. Rubber cups sold on Marco's or PBR and move with the four casters I just purchased. Or for about 20.00 per game I can put a set of 2" casters two stationary and two locking swivel.

I'd like your input on what you do or have installed to move your collection...Have a great Sunday everyone!

Do you mean leave the casters on permantly? Only problem I can see would be the games sitting a little higher. Might be slightly uncomfortable for shorter players?

I just picked up a game that the previous owner had put casters on the bottom. it really is handy to move the game around without a handtruck. The only downside, I've run into is the casters roll to easy and if you lean on the game, it rolls away on you. A lot of the larger arcade games like sit down drivers and dance games come with the casters when new.

I'm leaning torward wheels as I don't want to scratch the floor either! Plus the more I use the temp wheels to move the more I want wheels!

I have wheels on all my arcade games, first thing i do when I bring them in. While they are lying on thier back in the truck I put the wheels on, then slide them off into the room. I put (2") stationary wheels on the back and swivel wheels on the front.
On a similar note, all my pins have 2" locking swivel wheels on the back and regular feet on the front. That way I can either pick up the front and move it around to where I want it, or put a pair of the 3 wheeled casters under the front and move it around. Makes it a hell of a lot easier working by yourself

I'm sold on the wheels and I do like the idea of the regular leg levelers on the front. This will save on cost...Thanks for the tip!
