Any possibility of acquiring a Wheel of Fortune or am I shooting for the moon?

From what I understand, you are shooting for the moon. I don't think these are available for home use. There may be a few out there that were smuggled out of casinos...

wheel of fortune

Two got away and no ones telling !!! The machines are the property of Sony and Sony's not selling. When they are removed from play they are supposed to be destroyed immediately.

Strange. Why is it ok for some slots to be sold and others like this to be destroyed?

Wheel of Fortune

The games theme is licensed by Sony/ possibly Merv Griffin company to IGT and then the casinos and sony gets a percentage.

From what I have read it is very lucrative. Very popular game in the casinos that I have been in that have the Wheel of Fortune machines, especially since they linked them and went progressive in a lot of the casinos.

Well I guess I'm glad that the video game and pinball makers weren't of the same mindset. But maybe I'm comparing apples to oranges.

The last time I looked the ask on them was between $8,000 and $15,000 each. There were a few, very very few, that were sold. It took me a while to hunt them down. A few years ago I was looking into getting one and changed my mind for a variety of reasons.

I did buy one of the Wheel of Fortune promo chairs that go with the slot machine (embroidery on the back) that I have in storage in case I ever change my mind again. It was NOS surplus when they changed material slightly at one of the Las Vegas locations.

yea I bought my sister a Triple diamond slot for Christmas one year. Then during the divorce her ex said that I bought it for him. I swear some people are what's mine is mine and what's yours is mine.
Needless to say I would kind of like to get her something both of us really liked - and Wheel of Fortune was one we both really really had a good time with (except this time keep it in MY arcade). The only slot I really like. Figures it's so far out of reach.
The most fun was actually getting to spin the wheel.
