I almost picked up a Strider and wanted to pair it with this row of mine. I have two other HS1s on my floor. Ive seen massive rows of Midway cabs but I love HS1 for their efficiency. They are perfect for factory kit games and so popular with Early Capcom JAMMA games.

Whats your ultimate HS1/2 lineup?

bellow is just a dream list but not what I have:
Street Fighter HF
Magic Sword
Ghouls n Ghosts
Forgotten Worlds
Final Fight
Castlevania (Haunted Castle)
Arkanoid RoDoh
Cameltry
Cabal 2P track balls
Taito Cybercore (Elevator Action Returns)
Golden Axe
Altered Beast
Tetris I think would be nice instead of converting a classic.

I have 5 HS1s in my demo area and another 5 project cabs

Dude!

Danm nice setup! I love Dynamo cabs!

Very cool indeed.

(y)

Good timing on your post! I have mostly collected early '80s stuff, but I've recently started to work my way into late '80s to mid-'90s games. I'm just starting to learn more about Dynamo cabinets. I don't own one yet, but I think my first Dynamo cabinet will be an HS-1.

Maybe I like it because of the 19" monitor—it reminds me of an Atari cabinet like Dig Dug. I've been looking for a Street Fighter II, and I think I would prefer it with the 19" monitor, as I'm not sure how many 25" "beast" cabinets I really want.

I no longer have a Dynamo lineup. Most of the ones i've had over the years were total beaters and a few that i bought to get the model number tags on. If there is one that i regret selling is my Contra Evolution in a Dynamo clone. This one was sort of modeled after the unit that was once at Galloping Ghost. I tried to look for pics of it completed butwere pics shortly after i installed the custom marquee i made. Contra evolution is incredibly fun game and you'll love it if you loved the NES version as a kid.

Turns out this cabinet was also one of the notorious "Miami" Dynamo clones. An old time operator used to tell me stories about these cabinets.

I think of it in terms of CP layout

2 button 1 player (Strider / GnG)
2 button 2 player (Final Fight, etc)
6 button 2 player (SF2)

One of each

The other two HS1s are this Multi Taito dressed as a Cybercore F3 System (their version of the MVS)

Still working on a good CPO for this one.
Like this one bellow.

I also have an Aero Fighters SHMUP. I wouldn't mind flipping it to a better "iconic" SHMUP but I haven't decided which game and/or gotten something from the top 10 SHMUP list.

Heres my DE row... That is HS1 like

I have another DE bubble front cab that I want to restore and dress as a Wizard Fire fantasy themed game. But make it a DE multi also. One single player, one rotary, and one 2P

The original arcade board is just horrible but they did fix it for the PlayStation 1 release of Chronicles as well as the recent steam release revised. This restoration sbove was done by Markrl I'm just showing what a nice one looks like.

And I think some sega kits work well in the HS1 also. Too many were installed into Williams cabs.

For some reason I pretty much like almost all kit games in one of these. This is the Tetris I was hoping to build. Technically they need two buttons for rotation. Left and right rotation

So many great classic games came in those cabs.

Really love them.

And these are my project cabs. The Arkanoid went to a good friend that helped me move my machines like twice in the last year. i love the SF classic and think about using a full art kit on it as a Capcom multi since the original game is unplayable and the cab is the drawer shelf HS2 which I just love. Its Bullnose panel is drilled/converted so I need to get a better panel on it.

So the panels that I have in my inventory include.

1) Capcom 6 = Street Fighter and their derivatives. (Bullnose Corner Cut)
2) Modular CP and the GNG specific panel. 1P plus symetric 2 buttons. This is also the prefered Paddle panel for Arkanoid. (Flat Front)
3) 2P plus 3 button for Final Fight, DDragon, Altered Beast, Golden Axe, POW etc... (BNCC)
4) 2P plus twin 2 Button Symetric layouts. This was common on early SHMUPs and I believe good for a Tetris layout. (BNCC)
5) Twin track ball configurations with symetric buttons pre-drilled. (BNCC)
6) 2P Mortal Kombat layout (FF)
7) Random drilled out panels where I forget what the underlying panel is.

2P plus twin 2 Button Symetric layouts. This was common on early SHMUPs and I believe good for a Tetris layout. (BNCC)

I could use 2 of these HS-1 CP's for a SHMUP & Tetris build, if anyone has one they are willing to sell or trade.

Post an "In search of" in that section. This is what you are looking for. HS1 Bullnose Corner Cut

This wouldnt be twin two button symetric. I havent found one of these 2P two button symetric or might have one thats been drilled out.

I'd consider one that's been drilled if it's repairable.

The scale of this one looks to me like an HS5 but how can I forget one of my faves in Cabal. I have two practically new track ball panels for an HS1 as well as the overlay and PCB for Cabal. The local deli had the bootleg Joystick version of this and we would on ritual 1Q complete this game almost every day after my school and my bros work for a decent run while they had this game... We would eventually have like 20-40 grenades each we got so perfect at this game. My brother on occasion would have zero deaths even. I consider Cabal perfectly balenced. I could build one to bring me back to those memories but I have it playing on a Pandora build presently

The first haunted Castle you posted is a reproduction but it's based off of the WSI Dynamo clones. @quickray has one that was bundled with Forgotten Worlds that he just restored.

The tetris you posted is also some kind of clone. The cabal you posted is an early HS-2 with the horizontal drawer.
