What's your grail and have you found it yet?

Got my grail last weekend. Well, at least one of them. Wasn't really the game I was looking for, but more of the Cabinet. Been wanting one of these Capcom Q-Sound Cabinets for a long long time. Super Street Fighter II needs to go though. :D

720 and Paperboy were my grails. I played them both as a kid and loved them. I was feverishly looking for both for a while when I first got into the hobby.

Then I took a trip to FunSpot with a good friend...

That trip alone has saved me more money that I will probably ever know. I played Star Wars, Quantum, Major Havoc, 720, Paperboy, Tron, Warlords, Tempest, Dragon's Lair, Gauntlet, Marble Madness, and a ton of other games endlessly all weekend long. Their game collection is amazing. I realized that these games are better in my memory than in reality.

But I walked away with a NEW grail: Zookeeper. That game is unbelievably fun to play. The funny thing is that I'd never even heard of it until I became a member here.

Same here. I admit I got caught up in all the hooplah here last year about the game, and snagged one ASAP when I saw it locally. It's a freakin' blast to play.

My grail that I don't yet have: Journey cocktail.

Wow ... eerily similar story here. Never played Zookeeper as a kid, but I have heard a lot about it both here and on other collecting forums. I recently entered a video game tournament where the two tournament games were randomly selected - Robotron and Zookeeper. Fortunately for me, I am a good Robotron player and was able to walk away with a second place finish ( I know, second place is the first loser ).

But, what I really walked away with was a desperate desire to play more Zookeeper. I spent the rest of the weekend playing ZK at the event and have been looking for one ever since. I am even considering *gasp* building a MAME cabinet so that I can play Zookeeper on it.

P.S. My former grail was Crazy Climber and I was very fortunate to find a near mint one 10 minutes from my house in a storage unit. Score!

so its my fault for you wanting a ZK, I thought would be a good tournament game as pretty uncommon, best bet is pick up a Taito multi game cheap as that has ZK on it :)

Go grab the Taito cab at the Arcade Boneyard. Didn't prOK reproduce the side art?

And to stay on topic:

yes, Grail was Renegade, built it. =)
