What's your grail and have you found it yet?

Yep, my grail was a 25'' Smash TV, got it from a KLOV'er last year - Robochronic: THANX.. again!

Pin grail: A White Water (H2O) pin - still looking.

Every game in my collection was at grail status since I was a kid excepting perhaps Millipede and South Park, and Q*bert may not count since I never played the arcade version (C64 cart) until I got my machine. Didn't play Millipede until I was in my 20s, but it became a grail as well pretty fast.

A cockpit Star Wars with a 25" Amp would be a bit nicer than the upright I have tho lol. More grail-y.

Crossbow, and I finally got it.. enjoy it daily with the multi exidy in it..

Thought it would be interesting to find out what others define as their "grail" and whether they have obtained it yet or not(post pics!)

My grail is undoubtedly a Pac-Mania cab. Several years ago these things were going for 100-150 on ebay and now it seems even a marquee from one draws a price range near $100 alone. (When did this cab become such a rarity?). Unfortunately I haven't found my "grail" yet, but can't wait til the day I do.

Dunno what my fascination with this game is....maybe b/c it, Golden Axe and Spy Hunter were the games I played most at a bowling alley my parents frequented for tournaments. I can almost smell the pizza and nachos and hear the crash of bowling pins in the background when I think about this game.

Super Pac-Man. Obtained two years ago, last month. Its the cocktail table, which I really like but the upright is what I really want. Perhaps someday.

These games are the ones I have wanted since I first played them. To me, these are the best games since I started playing games in 1978. There are a lot of other games that I like and would like to own, but if I had space for only 5 vids and 3 pins, these are what would be there.

Donkey Kong
Stunt Cycle
Tempest
Hydro Thunder
Area 51

High Speed
Pinbot
Star Trek: The Next Generation

Only two left to add to the collection: Area 51 and Star Trek

It was Star Wars. I actually ended up trading a Warrior for mine...sorry DJW90! I've heard that the Warrior has since moved on up close to you though. I can probably figure out who has it now if you like. It was complete and worked mostly but needed a restoration.

Oddly I've owned like 5 more Star Wars machines since then without even really looking for them. Wish I would have hung onto the Warrior now.

I never got to experience a Super Pac in the arcades...Definitely the coolest cabinet design of the Pac family for sure though :D
Lately I'm addicted to Pac-Man...though I know I'll never reach Billy Mitchell fame or even a kill screen, I'm still practicing perfect patterns: http://nrchapman.com/pacman/ :)

I'm also currently in the middle of restoration of my first Pac-Man...a cab I've wanted forever despite it's "dime a dozen" status.

I've not seen a functioning one since I played it regularly at Aladdin's Castle, but I'd love to find an Exidy Star Fire cockpit. While we're on the cockpit kick, I'd also like to get a Star Wars cockpit (lower priority since I have an upright, but would still be cool to have).

"Grails" I have: Galaga, Tron, Tempest, and Simpsons Pinball Party.

Wants but not grails: Tron Legacy LE pinball, Discs of Tron (upright, can't dedicate the space for an EDOT), and Ice Cold Beer or Zeke's Peak (prefer ICB).

Dam I would have traded you a Star Wars Cockpit for it:eek:

My Grail was Donkey Kong. Almost impossible to find in The Netherlands/ Europe, but luckily Bruno from dragonlairfans.com arranged a group buy, so we imported about 20 Nintendo cabs from the states. Here is mine, almost fully restored:

Since I am mostly a pinball collector, I do not have a true "grail" for video games.

However, The Top 3 on my list were Major Havoc, Warrior and Star Wars.

I have since acquired Major Havoc and Star Wars is on its way.

So my new Top 3 includes Warrior, Chiller and Tournament Cyberball 2072 Dedicated Four Player.

I would also love to find a dedicated Major Havoc and Cockpit Star Wars, but those are really not likely since I don't expect that I would pay current market price for either.

Sort of, I've got the complete guts of a Victory cab, artwork, control panel, and several non-working boardsets, I've got to give/build them a home and get them working.

The only game I specifically looked for for years was an Ice Cold Beer or Zeke's Peak. I got a ZP this year. My current grail is the elusive thing called more space, but I'm working on it.

Edit: I got it this year, not last year. Wow. Brain no work so good this morning.

Yeah, I'd say ZP is right at the top of my wish list right now. They sure don't come up often around these parts though. I passed on an ICB recently that was close to me due to the price.

Grail has to be Star Trek: Next Generation pinball. Loved it on route and always wanted one, never thought it could happen. I got lucky and picked one up really cheap though, I doubt it will ever go anywhere.

Mine wasn't cheap, and it wasn't local... but after ~5 years of semi-looking I hadn't seen one pop up locally for sale so just bit the bullet and had it shipped. I waffled on the price originally, but the wife talked me into it (I think to get me to shut up about looking for one for another 5 years :) )

Too bad I've had it for 4 months, and it's been in storage for all but 4 days.
