I've come to love my street fighter 2 board for it's monitor diagnostics tests. Are there any other boards with good color/geometry test screens?

Or, has anyone made a test board that doesn't have a game on it at all, but is just for testing monitors, controls, and sound?

This is a great tool to have, although I don't have one yet:

I have a Blitz 99 boardset that has a hard drive issue. The game will not boot, but I can set a dip switch and boot to the test menu, which gives me color bars, convergence grid, solid color screens, and greyscale. It also has a switch to change between standard and medium-res. If I have to test a VGA monitor, I use a 60-in-1 board which has a good color grid, and a dip switch to change between standard-res and VGA...

Most of the "classic" Williams boards work well. I use a Sinistar for most of my monitor work. There is a grid that works great for adjusting pincushion and because it is thin white lines works really well for convergence issues. There are also color tests.

You can get handheld testers that will output convergence patterns and color bars. I have one, but it appears to have been dropped once too often :(.
