What's your best arcade scores for less than $50

I'm loving this! You all got some really sweet deals, or freebies. Guess you just have to appreciate when someone is clueless enough to "give" something away.

I got a working Arch Rivals for free and an Asteroids Deluxe that was playing blind for free. The AD just needed a cap kit on the video board, super cheap and works 100% now. Weird thing is the Arch Rivals sat on Craigslist for free for hours before I saw it and went and picked it up.

I got a nice Ms. Pac-man with a non-working monitor for free. I had my garage door open working on a game and the post officer carrier noticed I had some games and the carrier had the Ms. Pac-Man that was not working and said I can have it for free.

I also picked up a Pole Position II for $50.00. It had some monitor and sound issues, but was able to fix the monitor.

I went to buy an Atari Black Widow once and the seller, who was a non-arcade collector, threw in a Warlords cocktail if I paid his price (already a bargain) for the BW! ;)

For you my friend , ...... I have much jealousy !

I also had an operator friend of mine who knew that I was collecting. He knew another operator who was getting rid of some games from a laundromat. He just wanted them gone at no charge so I went to get them. I think there were three but I don't even remember what they were now. But when I got them home they were all full of quarters. Several hundred dollars worth.

When I went to return them to him he was absolutely stunned that I actually told him about it.

I picked this up for 50

I've gotten quite a few free cabinets over the years. I think one of the best ones was a The Grid machine sitting out in a random guy's garbage. Just casually walked up to the door, and asked if he was getting rid of it. Told me to please take it, haha. I technically didn't really need to do anything to it, and it was working with the topper. Not in the greatest shape, but uncommon cabinet for sure.

Other than that, picked up a free working Rally X that was advertised on craigslist at like 10-11 at night, was incredibly surprised to see it was still there.

Got a $75 Qbert with almost $120 in quarters inside from a pawn shop. Free Space Invaders, $40 Donkey Kong, $50 cockpit/sit down Fire Truck, $50 Robotron, $50 Xybots.

Best deal ever was $500 for 4 games (Stargate, Missile Command, Frogger, Donkey Kong - all worked and were super clean). That was in 1995 though.

Free working Op Wolf
Free untested Sega Heavy weight Champ
Free working Asteroids
Free/50 playing blind Ivan Stewart 3 player
Cab and monitor was free, guy wanted 50 for the parts he pulled out of it.
50 Mr. Do! in Artic cab

A few other 50 games
More than a few free/under 50 converted cabs that were just cabs with monitors.

Not quite arcade but close enough. Found a Street Fighter 2 Pachinko. These things are extremely hard to find in general, and finding one in the US was almost unheard of. Guy said the LCD screen wasn't working but he had it in a hot garage. Came home, let it cool down, and it worked perfectly.

$50 buy along with a bunch of boards.
Had 2 quarters and a nickle in the bottom

So $49.45 has a sync issue, bought it as its a later production converted defender.

Yes the art is covered in black latex paint thats coming off.

Game is final fight... No interest in it...

Monitor will be going to joust.

Me and a buddy bought 6 games from the local drive in theater for $100 total.

That's $50 for 3 games each.

So that's $16.67 each game.

Out of my 3, here's the only one I kept.

I also found $4 in quarters in it, so I only really paid $12.67 for a really nice working MKII cab!
