I tried to Google for photos of common monitor issues (e.g.. collapse, fold over, sync, convergence, etc) so I can be sure to use right term for the issue but no luck.

Picked up what seems to be a G07 based on BobRoberts monitor ID.

Fired it up and color and convergence and brightness seem nice.

Issue is the pic is a bit small on the screen and there is a little bend on one side.

Here are some pics

Are there specific pots to adjust to address this?

I know cap kit fixes lots of things l but not ready to do one yet.

Lastly... the H width coil appears to be broken... like I can put my finger on the end and wiggle it like a spring.

Doing so doesnt effect the screen image but I assume replacing it would allow for some adjustment.

Thanks

believe that is sync curl, cure with changing/doing a mod - been a while so will have to find that info

there is info in Bob Roberts site involving changing 303 & 501 with a 10uf - 22 uf cap what i have found works better is the 22uf cap, can't seem to find the thread about this on KLOV but the sync mod write up is still on his site

you may not be ready for a cap kit but that chassis needs one for sure and do the upgrades, reflow, etc. i personally always replace the flybacks when capping them. i am sure your problems will go away with a rebuild if adjusting doesn't help now.

Get a set of monitor/TV adjustment tools (do not use any metal tools).

Your width coil looks fine it's just the glue that holds the coil together has probably cracked. With the monitor off you can mix up some 2 part quick set epoxy and let it start to set. Then press down firmly on the top of the width coil and "butter" the sides of it. Hold down until epoxy sets (a couple of minutes).

Once your width coil is fixed then you can use the width tool to adjust the width, although I am not sure that you will get the amount of adjustment that you are looking for. That may require a width cap swap out/ or may be a low B+.

Your curl should be able to be adjusted out with the H-FREQ pot (again you need the proper plastic adjustment tool - no metal).

You can order all the parts you need from security001 if you decide to rebuild the monitor. You'll want a cap kit, flyback, and if desired a width coil. You can get your adjustment tools from him too at the same time.

Good luck.
