whats with the mass red tent unloading lately??

IMO the red tent phenomenon is due to 1 or more members here repeatedly mentioning it and hyping it up to others who really had no inclination to search out or buy a red tent. Some may not have even been aware that a red tent existed. All the talk gets people excited and increases demand based on "hype." Often times people find once they have the game in hand that it's not as exciting as it was talked up to be or as they remembered. As a result they sell the game.
I have to admit I got caught up in some of the hype myself and when I saw one for a decent price locally I bought it. I don't play it much myself, but it gets a good amount of play from some friends that like Dr Mario. Now personally the NES was the system I probably have the best memories of playing as a kid. I wish the VS system had some games like Punchout that the PC10 has. To me that's the biggest drawback, but oh well.

This is probably true. But regardless I wanted a Red Tent before this hype was all started up. I missed my NES, I play Balloon fight and Clu Clu land all the time on the virtual console, I need something that's Nintendo for my collection, thats compact and has switchable games. The Nintendo Vs. System cocktail fell right under that category. Does seem like it takes up a lot of space. Which is fine for me.

All and all, I may end up just getting a NES if one doesn't pop up in the next few months.

once i saw the funspot video featuring the 4 player tennis red tent, i was sold! "how cool" i thought "4 player head to head tennis? awesome" goonies and castlevania to boot? two of my favorites!

Yeah, mine was a 4 player but I always hated that tennis game. It just reminds me of the end.
