So is it just me, or has there been a recent explosion of new members joining and posting stuff for sale as their first post? Some of the stuff they are posting is tempting, but I am a bit weary of buying from someone with one or two posts and 0 feedback. I wonder what started this trend?

Yeah I've noticed the same thing, I still consider myself a newbie to the thread, only been here like 6 months, but I'm hopeful that if I post something for sale my feedback will give potential buyers some confidence in me.

Well I doubt you have anything to worry about. I'm talking the people who literally just joined to post a sale.

I was kinda iffy on it myself. I did take a chance on it thou and gave Boon-Saibot a chance. He did post images and I've so far gotten exactly what was pictured, well packaged, and in working condition. At a very fair price too. That and he was selling parts to my "Holy Grail" game. So I couldn't pass up that.

Everyone's gotta start somewhere. I started off by buying and not selling. I did finally sell thou and made sure I gave the buyer the same packing service I expect from anyone else. I might of went a little overboard for a set of happ guns, but better safe then sorry.

I will say thou with my "noob" status I did a trade out of monitors, with another "noob" to the forums here. My smaller one for a showcase sized one. Thou the deal is slowly fixing itself, I've learned my lesson. If I ever do that again I will make sure everything is in fully working condition before agree'n to anything.

I noticed it as well,i just bought something from one and while i dont have it yet we struck up some pretty good conversation and it seem's we have some stuff in common.I consinder myself a noob as well since ive only been here a couple years but it seems some veterans still have troubles when buying/selling.I give everyone the benefit of the doubt until i get burned(which hasnt happened to me yet).

I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, after all everyone was new to the forums at some point. I think that I've only had one issue with a transaction and that had more to do with being delayed then denied. I suppose sooner or later, someone will take advantage but between paypal's charge back feature, the fact that it actually costs a small donation to join KLOV and the fact that by and large most people are honest, I don't mind taking a chance if it's something I need and is modestly priced.
