What's with all the cheap games these days? Crap.

**Warning: Don't click on the pics if you are offended by colorful language**

Here's the games. If anyone wants the Mario Bros, you can have it as it sits for $100. As you can see it has custom sideart and such. Guy says it plays blind. I haven't unloaded it from the truck yet so I don't know. If you are local then perhaps I can just leave it in there and we can arrange shipping. If I unload it tomorrow and it plays blind the price will be $150 unless someone catches me before then! :) If I get it playing completely it's $200. So better hurry! Or not.

Galaga, some wires have been ripped out...not sure what the deal is but it came with a manual. More to come later. I'm tired.

Edit: Oh, and can you guess what type of establishment these came from based on the pics? :)

Well after that $50 Asteroids that I put $200 and many hours into wouldn't sell for $250, I told myself that I was done with projects.

Gotta say man, when games are selling dirt cheap, it's the same whether you're the buyer or the seller. :)

The guy said it's Super Mario, but did Super Mario come in this kind of cab or was that just Mario Bros?

That's a converted DK style cab I think. The CPO is standard with VS Super Mario. I'm not an expert, but I'd lean towards it being Super Mario Brothers.

Well the cabinet looks pretty straight overall. Those stickers are going to be a drag to have to remove though. No water damage that I could see. One of the connectors is off the board so I'll plug that in later and see what I get.

Is there a monitor diagnostic flowchart available for this one?
Edit: Apparently not but I found how to test the B+ in the manual.

This is the game I'd like to have out of here the soonest just because I'd prefer not to have those stickers hanging out in my game room. This is a family establishment!

Well it plays blind. And it's reeeaaally loud right now. I can't find the volume control. The spot where it says there should be a volume control, horizontal hold, etc. is just missing. Haven't investigate much yet but does anyone have a nice pic of what this SHOULD look like?

Also, I'll still honor the $100 price if anyone wants the game. Even though it clearly plays. I just need it out of here.

Well never mind...I don't care now because I just sold the thing. The new owner will, no doubt, be asking a lot of questions on how to get this thing up and going.

Looks like a good candidate for restoration to me for someone who has the time and energy. I peeled the bumper stickers all off so it has been duly censored.

FYI...I know it's not your cab anymore, but share the wealth, right?

Volume control adjustment will be up on the monitor chassis. Should be a separate board to the left of the tube (when oriented vertical). Left most pot.

Most nintendo boards also have a volume pot on the board too.

so... how much did the Galaga run you? I'm in need of one. A few have popped up here recently, one was super cheap. Sadly, I was too late on it.

My opinion on the prices:
4 years ago game prices were high. Enter economic bubble that burst and game values stayed the same for awhile. Then as people started to lose their homes the market (at least mine) was flooded with games (more than usual) and the asking prices were even higher than the previous two years. People needed money and because of it inflated the prices. Well, needless to say when these same games sat there for months on end and they didn't move the price was too high right?
Within the last ~4 months I've seen a pretty steady stream of games for sale and the prices are much more in line these days. The experts that be say the recession was over June of 09 .... I don;t agree but what ever. I would fully expect a metric shit ton of games will start showing up right before Christmas. Not too many people have extra money laying around anymore and we all can agree Christmas is a strain on anyones wallets. We'll see how right or wrong I am in the next few months.

I'd rather not say on here because if I do then I will hear the sirens in the distance. But it was a good deal. If you really want to know you can PM me.
