Not the LV2000, Curious as my other 6100 doesnt have it.

BTW I'm still having issues with the HV cutting out on my Tempest. It played great for a hour the other day then the HV dropped again. Whats weird is if i let it sit a few days it will work again. It has done this with 2 seperate HV units. So is there anything on the deflection board that could cause this?

Vector chatter is always present, no spot killer, plays blind fine.

I also just finished reflowing the header pins but havent tested.

Also could someone link me to a proper ZD902 replacement at Mouser for the HV board not the deflection board

if thats the reason its blanking. well I'll be damned, probably damned anyways lol. ill crank down the size and see

I really had no idea about this, everything has been rebuilt but I did mess with the pots after doing so years ago. damn

Well it is the HV unit. Finnally got irritated enough to pull the unit out of my space duel and the tempest works great with it. Can a bad flyback work now and then?

The hv transformer is very robust and dont fail very often. I have had only one so far of all the 6100's I've worked on. Check q901,902,903 and all resistors around them to start.
