Now put the knife down before you hear this. When I first got in to collecting a guy gave me a dozen or so boards right after I bought my first game: Frogger. Not knowing any better I did what? You guessed it, plugged every single one of those suckers in to see if they worked. After frying most, including Spelunker, I threw them away...*runs and hides for the Labor Day weekend*
My rarest piece is probably the one and only original Dragons Lair castle background gouche painting and original thorn cel overlays. I got this directly from Don Bluth and Gary Goldman with Cert of Authenticity. This is the exact piece used in the final animated film sequence for the opening of the game. It was painted by Don Moore (key background artist for Bluth Group.) I had it professionally and archivally framed with UV protection and silk wrapped mats. Bluth Group LTD. made 100 giclee copies of this exact piece.
