What's the price range for a Tron game? Will this go up when 'Tron Legacy' comes out?

Figure on around at least $400 for an average one and $800 for a really nice one.

sounds about right over here in Oregon. Although I can't imagine they'd go for crazy prices like what happened to Moonwalker. Trons are still Trons, there seems to always be one for sell, the arts are out there and its a game that always had appeal thru the years. Unlike recent games which skyrocket out of control which have no repro arts, few and far between boards for sale, and were never that popular (meaning they were junked).

Yeah, so some rich, lazy person didn't want to search around and paid over a grand for one on ebay. OK. cool. The one my buddy ended with over here in Oregon is mint and it cost him $500.

$500 is a good solid price.

I would say if you paid $600 for one in good condition that's a good price too.

Once you get to $800+ it should be very nice, though I see them auction on ebay for over a grand often.

I got my most recent one for $400 plus a little shipping, not too much. If you don't mind waiting awhile you can get almost any game you want for a lower than average price.

I bought my first one about 10 or 11 years ago fully working in ok physical condition for $175. I bought my second one within the past year IIRC for $300 non working. Actually the PS was dead other than that it worked fine. I would say an average condition working tron should be in the $3-500 range. A fully restored one should be at least 1000. And yes I still see average condition trons sell on ebay regularly in the $8-1200 range. Not that I would pay that much.

Oh and prices will go up with the hype of tron legacy. I think the safe bet would be to post to ebay with the auction ending the day before the movie comes out. That way if it's horrible you still have excited buyers who are willing to pay top dollar. If the new movie flops it may be a bit harder to get top dollar after the fact. Of course if the new movie is a hit expect the prices to go up even higher for a while. Of course as mentioned a year or two later prices will have fallen again.
