What's the point of having non working/craptastic games on location?

It's bad enough arcade games don't get much play to begin with but damn, at least keep them running and in playable condition. I just got off the Cross Sound Ferry which has 5 or 6 boats in their fleet, all with at least 3 arcade games on them. This one had an out of order candy crane, a capcom bowling that was resetting every second, a police trainer with a horribly converged/blurry monitor, a Raiden DX with an unplayable wave in the monitor, a Megatouch Jade that needed calibration, and a Ms Pac w/ speedchip that had a microswitch stick. The ms. pac was the only playable game on there...everything else was just wasting the ships fuel lol. I feel like contacting someone over there to see if they even have an OP for these things or if they just threw them on there and hoped for the best. I know I didn't catch them just when they happened to break as well because every ferry has had the same beat to hell games every time I'm on them for the past 5+ years. Anyone else have crapcades on location near them?

Yeah, the bowling alley near my house. Went there not to long ago and they had many craptastic games. The two good ones they had didn't work (joystick issues). So I lost credits. Games never looked like the been serviced in 10 years, and the people who work there appear to have no clue. Lol

If they have nobody taking care of the games tell them you will if they pay for all parts and labor and then slit what they make 50/50 or something.

Dave & Busters even does this. Lets stuff stay half broken for years. Seems all they care about is if it credits up. Broken buttons, broken joysticks, monitors adjusted so you can't see crucial things on the screen, and the like don't seem to bother them. They even pulled the 4-way off their Ms. Pac and installed an 8-way happ super.
