What's The ONE PIECE Of NOS Artwork You Wish You Could Find?

Was just loaned an nos piece and I promise a proper repro.

If feasible, please consider doing a run of a version without the copyright info. Like this:

Speaking of which, if I could get some NOS artwork it would be the original DK sideart without the copyright info.

Why is removing the copyright so important?

The early DKs didn't have copyright info on any of the art, so those of us with the very early models want factory correct reproduction art. I imagine there are a good number of us on KLOV who would snatch up that artwork. Do a search for "Radar Scope Tag Data" and you'll see a really long thread on the early DKs.

Cosmic Chasm side art and CPO, all 4 pieces of the side art, but I'd take anything. Yes, I know there is someone who has at least 3 of the 4, but he's sick of being asked about it. Yes, I know Hans made repros. I want original! If the person with the side art would ever take pity on me and be willing to sell some, I'd love to buy two sets. I'll pay you well! I need two sets of all this too (I have pictures to prove I need two sets).

Agreed, my DK CPO doesn't have the copyright, it'd be nice to have the correct sideart as well.

Remove it yourself and then get it printed. Photoshop is a wonderful thing.

Of course I could do that, but the whole point of Phoenix doing the reproductions is having them done correctly. His process, color matching, sizing, and die cutting are going to be far superior.

I know we're talking about side art here but here an example of the variations on the control panel overlays.

You see these 3 variations on the CPOs, the marquees and the bezel. "Nintendo 1981" seem to pop up the least. I've never seen "Nintendo 1981" on the sideart, just the original with no "TM" or "1981 Nintendo of America, Inc.", a version with "TM" only, and a version with the "TM" and the "1981 Nintendo of America, Inc."

True, but it seems with every other art only 1 variation is decided on and made. Those variations are usually a lot more then a copyright text. It seems to me that only Nintendo art "has" to be printed in all variations or you have to put "Repro" on it so that everyone knows it isn't an original. Why?

Konami's Super Basketball CPO

There are hundreds of boards around, I have never even seen the right CPO for it, let alone anything NOS.

My hope with the red DK sideart is that removing the copyright info is such an easy and trivial task that it's just a matter of printing 50 or so off with that alteration. Based on the number of people who've commented on it and how anal the Nintendo folks are I imagine they'd move pretty good.

But I definitely don't feel any entitlement to having it done. I just wouldn't want to have a whole batch printed off and then have Phoenix say "wow, I wish I would have known people wanted that no copyright variation because I could have done them no problem, but now it's too late".

I have a radar Scope DK conversion I have a no tm marquee, bezel, and CPO. would ;ove to remove the tm side art and put a more correct side art on.

My DK cab is the earlier version like Jam's, it has the 4-board stack pcb....the CPO doesn't have a TM. I can see how one would want to keep the distinction consistent on the sideart too. As a side note, the bezel does have the TM...was there an earlier version of the bezel that didn't have the TM?

Honestly had no idea all the variations out there. Just so hard to keep up.

Other than the side art, what pieces do you think should be remade and why?
