What's the most $ you've ever found inside a game??

I've only got 2 games. One had 1 quarter (which was mine from when I was testing it before buying...it was missing part of the coin mech, so it missed the coinbox), the other (also missing the coin mechs and coin box) had $2 in quarters laying in the bottom of the cab.

I went to an auction and the guy I was with bought a Thunderblade with a bad monitor in poor condition for like $10 (plus fees). He said I could have it.. I passed

Was at his place looking at it after we got back. No keys.. So I drilled the lock..

Inside the coin bucket was almost full of quarters

He said there was around $380 in it.

I still kick myself over that one..

Oh well

Only about 30 dollars in quarters in my Super Mario VS machine... surprises me this number isn't higher, as I've bought many machines. The second most... like, 2 bucks. :(

$284 in the bill acceptor of a ticket dispenser I bought at an auction two years ago. Paid $50 for two of them together but only one had any money in it

$8000.00 in $2.00 bills! Seriously, anyone here remember Yogi in San Jose/Campbell?

Personally The most I have found is about $20 in quarters in a Pole Position I payed $10 for. The best one I saw was at a Super Auctions in Kalamazoo MI about 5 years ago. They were trying to sell 5-6 Cherry Master video poker games, they got no bids. In the end I watched there crew bust them up and dump them in the dumpster. As I watched them busted up, I saw the games spill cash out (one guy said he got over $100), also all the games had new 13" monitors! Had I bid on them in the auction,I could have got it all for $1!

I picked up an all-original Stargate two months ago--monitor, sound, etc all in great shape with boards that look great (other than the expected acid damage to the battery mounts)--for $275. The seller said it was HUO for 20 years, that he had picked it up for next to nothing at auction from a Chuck E Cheese that went under, and that he always made his grandkids use quarters in it to keep the game from being beat up/overplayed. As we were tilting the game into the bed of the truck, it made that sweet, bunch-o-sliding quarters sound, suggesting there was still money in it but nothing was said (by him b/c I found out the coin door was stuck so he probably couldn't get it open, by me b/c I'm a cheap sob and the only thing I love more than a bargain is a good story).

The lock on the coin door was corroded and took a while to open but when I did I found 45 quarters from the late 60s to early 80s in the box, and, way back underneath it, an old Chuck E Cheese token from 1982 (Pizza Time Theater, long-whiskered Rat face w/o the (c) mark, if you collect them)--I've since seen a similar one for sale on fleabay for $15.

Anyway, I've seen posts of people finding new monitor replacement parts inside their cabs, but was curious what other cool stuff/treasure trove people may have discovered, money or otherwise?

And before anyone chastizes me for "stealing from a grandpa," I'll point out that he obviously knew they were in there (hence his quarters comment) and clearly didn't care about the $10 bonus given that he had the nicest, stand-alone gamebuilding--yes, not a room but a dedicated outbuilding--that I've ever seen--complete with many pins (AF, HS, Slugfest, etc.), skeeball, jukes, slots, and more (I'm sure you can hear the jeolously in my voice).
Probably $10 in quarters.

I think like 15 or 20 dollars in quarters for me, it's part of the fun of collecting and restoring in my opinion, you never know what your going to find...

I picked up a Williams Space Shuttle (System 9) pin with a buddy that he paid $100 for, it had just over $100 in quarters inside.

Personally I had an Asteroids cocktail that had $23 bucks in BITD dated quarters trapped inside the control panel. I'm sure glad I decided to open it up and tighten that hyperspace button before taking it to auction :)

My buddy picked up a Ms. Pac-Man out at the curb. Took it home. Opened it up and found nearly $300 in quarters. Damn that is awesome.

WOW! Now that would really make for a nice find!

The most I've ever found was $25.00, it had made it's way through the slot and was under the coin box.

i just dug 2.75 in quarters out of my Centipede that i've had for a year... i suppose i just never opened the coin box until today when i switched the mechs over for tokens.

sad to say, i'm pretty sure that's the most i've ever found in the 25+ machines i've owned.

I found a new Weller soldering iron, a wire stripper/crimper, and a bottle of plexiglas cleaner in the bottom of a Rowe change machine. The person I bought it from didn't even realize that the bottom part of the machine was a compartment...

I found (4) 50 cent pieces in the bottom of my Jukebox I just picked up they were from the early 70's which I think means they are or have allot of silver in them.Thay do sound funny when you clink them together oh and it had 4 dollars in quarters in it also.
