What's the most you have paid for a game????

Cabinets in my area seem to go for much more than $300. Is the trick for spending less finding games that need work?

The trick is finding a member of the KLOV Price Police to negotiate the deal from $300.00 to $50.00 delivered. :D

Think I've yet to pay more than $250 (including delivery). Considerably more than that after full restorations though.

$2k for airbone proto sitdown.

not counting the new tron LE pin, then it would have been $2200 for never operated revenge from mars.

$1850.00 for a decent Die Hard Arcade. (man, I love that game)
Next highest was $1700.00 for a Tekken conversion, Some old generic cab with the bottom rotted out and rat excrement throughout . I had to have that Tekken though, it is the best game out there after all.

You know I love that game also. 3 working STV boards and 2 DHA carts for it...
I wouldn't spend no $1850 for a plastic machine although...

5 bills is my record so far... And before that, 4 bills.

Everything else has been $250 or much, much, much less. ;)

$35 for a converted qbert. $800 later I had a restored qbert

Sounds like my latest project...
I bought an empty converted Pac cab for $20, but will end up with $400-500 by the time I'm finished with the restoration(Paint, new CP, CPO, Bezel, PCB, Harness, etc)...The seller was a great guy....he gave me 2 monitors to get them out of his garage. One is working fine but could use a cap kit, the other has zero burn in but has vertical collapse(should be an easy fix).

Prior to this I bought a Ms. Pac for $30 at a church yard sale and spent $200 getting it going(new used monitor, cap kit for said monitor and new PCB)...I think I did well on this one although it still needs restored(bezel is flaking, CPO is destroyed, cab is faded and was used as an ashtray on a regular basis). What's funny though is the Marquee is probably the nicest I have ever seen on a Ms Pac....Nice deep colors with no fading, scratches, etc...

I'm fairly new to the hobby, but so far the most expensive cab I bought was my first...
A full size cab converted to Midway Skins for $200(MAME project)...I still think this was a fairly good deal though as it had a beautiful 25" monitor in it.

I think my dedicated JrPac is the most expensive game I bought. It was a little over $700 and I had to drive several hours to get it. My girlfriend actually bought it for me so it wasnt so bad. I dont regret it, havent seen one for sale since.
If we are including money we put into games most likely my qbert will win 1st place.

Most I've paid was 400$ for my Galaxian. The least I payed was 200$ for my deidicated Killer Instinct. The "cabinet", and I use that term loosely, I overpayed for was my first cab, a Mortal Kombat 2 in a pos cab with frankenwiring all over the place.

Around $600 for a great condition Joust cocktail .. now to find a Joust pinball to complete the collection ..

LeChuck

$500 delivered for my Galaxian cocktail. Not my first machine but after playing it at CAX 2008 and not seeing one for so long before that I HAD to have it. Can't complain since the guy I bought it from helped me haul it up the stairs. Needed a little work and a board repair a year or so in but its been good to me.

Actually, it ended up being free since I sold a complete set of a then out of print Japanese comic series on eBay within a few hours for the entire sum.

$500 for a neo geo mvs-4-25 v3 with 4 games. Monitor still needs a recap, but the body is a 9/10. Even found NOS el-panels for the mini marquees. (thanks, mylstar!)
