What's the most you have paid for a game????

AU$900 for an 9/10 condition Paperboy, that actually came from Lunar City arcade!!

Dediated original cabinets are RARE down here, for most games fairly generic cabinets were made locally and only the PCBs were imported, otherwise it would have been uneconomical to ship the full machines all the way to Oz.

Lunar city or Luna City? Cause if it came from Luna City I would feel really bad about owning it!

I payed $1500 for a pair of Hydro Thunders. The next highest was $300 for a Defender...Which I sold for, I think, $240 less than a month later to help fund the Hydros. :(

$1200.00 for Dragons Lair completely restored with limited edition laser disc and converter board with disc to play Space Ace.

I think I may have traded about $500 or so in Cure vinyl for a cherry Tempest cocktail. Paid $800 for a Bride of Pinbot. Usually drop $50 to $300 for most things.

360 for a 9/10 dedicated mk4. Mk4 was one of my grails. I absolutely love it. Other than that ii usually pay 50 - 200

$35 for a converted qbert. $800 later I had a restored qbert

$950 for my first game (tron cocktail)

$2k discs of tron (environmental)

Star Wars Cockpit

Paid 1300 for my 2nd star wars cockpit working with a 25in amp., BUT I got my first SW Cockpit for Free non working and had a 6100 in it not that i'm complaining..=)

$750 for my first game, pacman. but, that was before klov was birthed and i wasn't aware of rgvac and couldn't really find any arcade related info elsewhere. next closest would be my satan's hollow, for $600.

Wow. The title says the "MOST" you have paid for a game and the thread reads like a brag thread about how little people have paid for games...

Suffice to say, being the owner of a brand new Tron Legacy LE pinball and a mint dedicated original Major Havoc, I've spent a lot more than $1,200-$1,500 for some of my games. Of course, I DO own some that were bought for a song or traded for labor, but I am really surprised that there are SO MANY people on here who HAVEN'T paid more than $500 for ANY of their games...

$600 on a working Sunset Riders cabinet with 15 more JAMMA games, mostly 4 players, and a 6 in 1 JAMMA switcher w/ remote

$600 on a working set of Virtual On Cybertroopers

$490 on a semi-working 50" SNK megalo cabinet, screen worked, but no game.

I think eventually I'll learn to stop or find cheaper games lol. But i'm technically new to cabinet collecting.

Did you pick up that MH from north GA?

Yep Luna City. Can confirm its the same machine as it has a tiny nick in the CP in exactly the same place as the PB in the LC photos. Still, after 3 months at sea it has found a good home down here.

Why should I feel bad about owning it, am confused.

Ah just checked the site - that update is news to me.

I can't think of any video games that I spent more than about $500 on. And that's extremely rare for me. Although I made a deal for a game in the multiple thousands of dollars once but it fell through because another klov'er horned in on the deal.

My first expensive buy was my Journey which cost me $1500 with shipping but the most I ever spent on a game was $5700 for my Tron LE pinball.

$700 for a Namco Candy cab but it came with a stack of CPS2 boards
D&D Tower of Doom A/B
SSF2Turbo A/B
SSF2 NG
SFAlpha3

If you add up the value of the boards I almost got that Candy Cab for free... so it was a good price.

I paid $600 for a Single monitor PC10 with a jail bar monitor. At least the CPO was in very nice condition. I pretty much over paid for it but at least it was delivered from 2 hours away with 2 other games that I had purchased.

$1850.00 for a decent Die Hard Arcade. (man, I love that game)
Next highest was $1700.00 for a Tekken conversion, Some old generic cab with the bottom rotted out and rat excrement throughout . I had to have that Tekken though, it is the best game out there after all.

Cabinets in my area seem to go for much more than $300. Is the trick for spending less finding games that need work?
