Always curious how much someone is willing to shell out for their favorite machines in great shape. Mine was a Quantum that I searched for forever. Anywho, if you are interested I added a poll to my MAME site to see the amount folks have coughed up. (Pinballs not included).

submitted my answer to the poll.
You might want to clarify that its video arcade only, not including pinball. Pins easily break the $2k spectrum.

The most I have paid for a single game was $550. That was CarnEvil but it came with extra shottys.

I also paid $800 for a Popeye that came with 4 big boxes of VS conversion kits and games/PCBs/artwork/etc.

$320 bucks for my Soul Cailbur 2 cab. Was my first game to boot! Don't they usually say your first game is the most expensive? ;)

i think most i payed for a single game was pretty nice example of a asteroids dlx and it cost me £550,covert that to us $.
;)

$450 for my Galaga, my first game, and I over paid considering the condition.

After I fixed the board and replaced the monitor:

Easy one for me... $950 for our Lunar Lander. It's a game I wanted, they never come up for sale around here, and it was in good shape.

Next highest I paid is *way* down at $350.

And most of the other games I have are in the $100 to $200 range.

Highest so far is $700 for my Berzerk. Great condition original art and cabinet, new silk screened control panel, original bat stick, has the Frenzy kit installed and was only a 30 drive from my house.

Ms. PacMan/Galaga Reunion Cocktail Table: $900 - brand new MINT condition, eBay (60 minutes from my house)

Frogger UR: $400 - solid working condition, a few nicks on the cabinet here and there, pawnshop (1 hr 20 mns from my house)

Super Zaxxon UR: $125 + $175 worth of used musical gear - Mint condition, except for a couple small blemishes on the sideart, local pawnshop (10 minutes from my house)

$150 for a Toobin that I sold for $300 without even wiping it down. I had planned on fixing it up, but they wanted it as-is to do themselves.

Other than that, everything has been free or less than $100....

$750 for a minty 720 (not the TURD I have now from another KLOV'er)
$600 for a nice Dragon's Lair (since sold for a grand, would love to have it back)

AU$900 for an 9/10 condition Paperboy, that actually came from Lunar City arcade!!

Dediated original cabinets are RARE down here, for most games fairly generic cabinets were made locally and only the PCBs were imported, otherwise it would have been uneconomical to ship the full machines all the way to Oz.

put in my answer on the poll. was surprised so many have paid 1000-2000 or more for games. Probably due to all the folks being super cheap around here.

My most expensive was over 2000

Same here...not including pinball, mine was above $3,000, not including shipping.
