What's the going rate for a Batman Forever?

Overall it's in really good shape... it just needs to be gone through. There are a *bunch* of burned out bulbs, a few switches that need adjusting, and *everything* needs to be cleaned.

The display has a column of 3 LEDs about 5" from the left that is out and there is a row of 3 LEDs at the very bottom that is out. I have done nothing with these except wiggle wires and of course that did nothing. ;)

Thanks again for the tip! :beerchug:

Thanks for the pics. Looks like a nice game. Hopefully the lines on the DMD are just broken traces that can be fixed. That would save a bunch of money.

Replacing some of the bulbs and flashers on BF is a real pain. Lots of stuff to remove to get to them.

It's funny, I was just reading up on DMD repair and that was what I was hoping as well. :) Are there any websites that map which traces/connections control which rows and columns? I tried searching for that specifically but came up empty.

I'm thinking I may be screwed with fixing the display. I found three bad connection on the ribbon cable where it goes into the glass display. Almost looks like someone either pinched the cable there OR they jammed something in there to try and "fix" the connections. I haven't given up hope, I just don't want to try anything with it until I find another display. I may just bite the bullet and sell another video game and buy a new display... but I'm not sure yet.

Other than that, I've cleaned it up, replaced bulbs, adjusted switches and next will be rebuilding the flippers(someone put the wrong coil in the lower-right flipper making it almost too weak to hit one of the ramp shots).

Just thought I'd update this thread. ;)

The game looks real nice. When cleaned up the game is fast. What I love is the game rewards you for being accurate with your shots.

I recently sold mine to make money for my SM. Regret it. Knew I would but you do what you need to do to get your dream pin.

At the price of a replacement for your DMD I would live with those 3 bad lines. At least they are not horizontal. I would also see if I could fix the problem first.

The one thing I hate about Sega's is the lamp sockets are stapled in. What a PITA.

I found I had to put in a much weaker coil in the upper flipper or the ball would launch out of the ramp. The stock one was just much too strong.

enjoy
