I've been trying to move one for a little while with no biters. I've lowered my price a couple times. I'm currently asking $900. It's a converted Galaxian cab.

Either I'm asking too much, or I need to start advertising in new places.

I'd love to get $900 for one. I have a project cab I am considering making a multi and if I do I was going to start at $600.00 and work my way down from there...

It depends on location and quality. Mine are as close to factory new as you can get and I regularly pull $900-$1300 for them. However business has slowed way down in the past month.

The problem with mine are, with everything being new, I barely make $250 at $900. I just cant drag myself to sell a beat up cabinet for $600

I've done a good job on this one. Filled in the holes, new T molding, good monitor, tidy wiring...it's a good unit. It would be a keeper if I actually wanted it.

Where do you advertise?

A beat up cabinet? I think not.

Hey Mr. Vain, wasn't referring to you.

My point was: if I dont buy new artwork and controls I could sell mine for $600 but they wouldn't look anywhere near as good as I like. My rule of thumb is that if I won't put it in my own arcade, I won't sell it (for Multicades)

I advertise on CL and through Ebay. Gotta be very careful about putting Multicades on Ebay though. I sell it as the cabinet only on Ebay. Most people who are looking for them will ask you if it comes with any games, so I answer accordingly.

I've been wary about tossing it on eBay because of their no paper payments/must take Paypal policy. That would be all I need is some idiot to start a dispute and I lose all that money.

I've sold 2 - one for $700 and one for $560. Both were generic cabs with generic art. I actually planned on cleaning the $560 one up nice and selling it for $800-$900 or so, but it sold without doing all that. That's fine with me, because I don't currently have the time or motivation to do the work with other projects sitting around.

Where are you all advertising?

CL, I try to keep mine at the $600 price with no side art, used cheap marqee, whatever bezel I happen to have on hand. and offer the art as an upgrade. At $600 they sell fast. some people want the upgrades, some people want them cheap and just do not care about what art is on it.

I have the best luck with the local trading journal. C.L. has pretty much become worthless.

Latest one sold the day after the trading journal came out.

I sold this one for $1,250 3 months ago. I had it listed for $1000, but a local bar owner
offered to pay me $100 a week for 10 weeks, and $250 down. I wrote up a contract and
it worked out.

I got $875 About 6 months ago for this one in a 1943 cab. I listed both on CL.

If I was doing this on a super regular basis, I would do some face to face marketing at
bars, or places that have a waiting room.

Heres my recent flip. $700 on CL. Sold in 3 hours.

Stay away from eBay. Its likely to get pulled, and if it dosent, then its likely to get a deadbeat bidder.

Not to bad for prices Guys average in MN is around 650-875.00 again depending on the condition and artwork involved. usually make about 350-400 per game.

I just love it when some ass clown has a cab and just does a board swap and nothing else. Then has the balls to ask 1200+ for their time consuming project.

I build all of mine from the empty cab up full clean full re-paint and tons of new parts.
I figure if I'm going to destroy a classic or dedicated machine it better damn well look nice when it's done.

Just multi'd a Ms pac the other day and i didn't feel good doing it. But when it was done it looked pretty damn good.

Marquees and CPO's i think are a must at least to change a game over. All in all I can do one full game in about 12 hours. Getting pretty good at it.
